Default Dope wars...

Anyone ever played Dope Wars...Drug Lord before? well I was just wondering has anyone even tried to get this game on 2.6 psps? If not... I have the source in VB that I coded myself and if there is anyone willing to take up this project letme know, i'd really like to see this game on the psp for homebrew

lol I wish I coded that program, But no I didn't code Dope Wars. I made my own program similar to dopewars in VB, was just wondering if anyone here has attempted to do this with homebrew, I honestly have no idea how to code LUA or C++...Then again i've never really tried.

Well I wouldn't exactly call this requesting as seeing how I have a source code that I made and I am willing to give my source that I coded to a stranger to code into their own game. So it's technically another "oh i want this game make it for me now" thread. Now that I think of it, I probably will give it a shot and download the tools to port it. If I can code VB...I'm sure LUA isn't that hard.

ahh, never really liked Tetris it was to boring. and i am going to take a shot at porting this to the PSP...if i can ever get half this stuff to work properly O_o...oh well, try new things, learn new things.

-off topic- I like the cheat device for GTA it owns...

-on topic- i'm actually starting to get the things i need to port this installed...maybe i'll have some luck after all...after i get this installed i'm going to bed -.- been up since 11am yesterday.

Im actually making a drug lord type game in lua. Its more along the lines of a sim game but yeah its similar.

I'll be up for porting Drug Wars, I played it soo much in college!
Psilocybeing has been coding his own but has not posted anything about his progress since 01-31-2006, 02:16 AM and that was about 2.0+ proofing his eboot..

If you could PM me your VB code I could try and make heads or tails as to whether I could port/totally recode it into PSP compatible C++. I have a qualification in VB but its been years since I did any coding with it

I can't wait for Psilocybeing anymore!! I wonder if I can get it done before he releases his?

Default Creating DopeWars

I thought this game was already done, but perhaps not.

Anyways I just started tonight with this game, so far the data modeling is in place (World, City, Location, Drugs, Police, Loans, Bank, Hospital, Gun Store)and loading basic city with 6 locations and 2 types of drugs. Simulation working over variable period with drug prices are changing each day. I need to put controls inplace to buy the drugs yet. I have designed it in such a way that the game can be loaded from Xml configuration files.

I expect this game to be rather simple, configuration stuff will be time consuming but simple. The interface is going to be the hardest part. I'll be using C then later translate into C++ as I'm a much better C programmer than C++.

Perhaps someone could help with out with what it should look like (i.e. best suited to PSP).

I don't expect this game to take long to get a first release (perhaps 1 to 2 weeks) if tonight is anything to go by. But I'm not good with graphics and interfaces (just the photoshop part), so if anybody can help seriously do offer.
