i was looking trough the forums to find out how to code in lua. i followed the tutorials, and when the code is finished, its a .txt file. i want to know how to convert the scripts to .lua. thanks

when you save the file it asks you for:
File Name:Here you put "script.lua"
Save Type As:Here you have to select "All Files"

This is assuming that you are using Notepad. its what i use because of its straightforwardness.

save it as script.lua (must add .lua to filename)

if it's still now working then go to the test file that came with the luaplayer 4 windows, copy, paste, rename, open it, paste code there, and save as (script.lua)

best thing to do is go to your folder options and deselect hide all known file types.
then it will show your file name extensions, and if you rename files it will give them the correct extension.

to do that, in a folder, go to tools, folder options, the second tab (i think its view), then the uncheck hide known extensions

then name your script script.lua, and it will ask you if you really want to, and go ya, because im cooler than you window$!!!

Sorry to Revive this thread but
does anybody actually use
Properties Plus?
That Can Rename Extension's, change
the modified date etc etc...

It also has a "Tiny" hex editor for on the go
