Actually, this has been a known method of copying files since the psp came out.

But it does work on 2.xx as it's not officially homebrew, it's just a way of using sony's features.

wtf u talking about? apple has patents to iPod, kinda obvious since it is the APPLE iPod and not the Microsoft ipod. and what does that have to do with copying files from one MS to another?

He's absolutely right. Microsoft does own the patents to some of the technology behind the iPod.
