Default can you give a prediction...........

can you tell me how long it would take to install the pspdev toolchain? i am running on a amd athlon 1.66ghz xp 200 processor with 256mb of ram. yes i know it is a bit crap but i am getting a major upgrade soon (changing to 2ghz+ amd athlon 64bit and a ram upgrade) it is just because i use my computer very often and i was wondering if i should leave it on overnight. also how much harddrive space does the toolchain fill up? thank you very much for any help!

I'm using a Centrino 1.60Ghz with 512MB ram and it took around 4 hours and a bit.
Also, the cygwin folder takes up 1.10GB on my hard disk.

well tbh my cygwin installation didnt take long. installed it twice in 1 day and it didnt take more than 1 hour for both. however ive got 3200+ with 1024ram so it will greatly differ as far as i can c. u should leave it overnight to install. the size of the cygwin folder ive got after the installation of the psptoolchain and some libs such as sdl,sdl_mixer,pspgl and such is about 1,34gb.

for cygwin, it depends on your internet speed took me 1 hr (2.8 ghz 1 gig ram)

for toolchain, i don't know how long, i left it overnight

takes around 1 gig total

my suggestion, get cygwin running, then leave toolchain overnight

the toolchain also depends on your internet speed (not too much though), as it downloads the tools and installs them
