Okay great. Now another thing I am not understanding, what are people talking about undoing changes by upgrading to a new X-Flash? I am confused about that one too. Are you saying I must reverse everything I have customized, to use a new X-Flash? If so, what is the point in it?Zitat:

Gahhh ok in the older versions I used to be able to dummy the update file and it would leave the name like I wanted it. But now in the newer versions it renames it to "disabled" I think. And I don't want that. So its not worth having to go back to an older version to undo the dummy update just to use the newer versions.
Well, you can just edit it yourself to say Network Update using menuedit....
Hey guys, how do I go about changing the Wavey background to a pic that I like?
I was just on X-Flash and I went on "Change January Wallpaper" or something simular to that and it said it was successful. And I'm confused. What background did it change it to? Afterwards I pressed O straight away to restore the default.
I just want to know how to put a pic that I want on. Can someone tell me please?

I still have to say to do it in the readme in case someone does upgrade from an old version.
change january wallpaper changes the background pic for January. If you want to change you bg, click right a couple of times until you reach Change July Wallpaper. then your bg will change.Zitat:

EDIT: I can confirm that 1 is the strongest setting. Meaning anything that is 2 or above, will not run without a password.
Art is there anyway to change the XMB from autoloading UMDs without putting password protection?

For most options, the X button does what it says in the menu,
and the O button does the opposite... unless it says otherwise on the screen.
what is the largest size resolution the bmp pic can be, because i put a 480X272 pic in there and it messed up my icons? if it has to be smaller is there anyone who could possibly edit my pic to make it smaller, cause i really liked it as my background in 2.0 but now that i downgraded i cant have it?

Ok, I had a stroke of genius. Art is there anyway that in your next release you could include a Devhook mod. Like flash to ms0:/dh/fimware/flash? Or maybe release a seperate version? Flashing Devhook is alot safer than flashing flash0 so you wouldn't even need all the extra protections in that version.

Yes. Devhook creates a flash0 folder on the root of the memory stick. So when your loading up your 2.50 firmware your loading from the memorystick instead of from the actual flash0. It would be cool if I could flash that and mod atleast what can be modded in my Devhook.
For some reason talking about imaginary flash0 gave me a very strong sense of deja vu.

Maybe you could try opening the samples with a wave editor like Nero wave editor,
and saving them again with the correct attributes.
BTW, I'm on the hunt for samples to use for the rest of the XMB menu effects.
The finished Vag files must be under 1Kb! That's pretty small, under a second I think.

Yeah it works but im not sure you can do it with X-flash because of the size limit. Try pspset if x-flash wont let you flash it.
I will increase the limit for the next release.

Yeah the biggest gameboot i have flashed was 5Mb and it worked fine it just stopped playing half way through it.
No way a 5mb file would work.
It did it was one of the ones off Tony hawks underground 2 remix, if you dont believe me try it.

That sounds about right, I have tried around 3Mb files from the game Mercury,
and they worked, and just stopped playing part way through.
I don't know why pspset limited it to 1Mb. There was a big rumour that anything bigger
would brick it.
Test the file in question with a firmware launcher.
HAA! i love the chicken cluck when you press O at the begining to exit before using. LOL it was unexpected and quite funny. btw the best feature now? Option 15, being able to exit without hitting the home button. NICE!!!!
