Great job with the updates Art. This is one of my favorite homebrew applications. I recently thought up a suggestion for a future release of X-Flash.
My suggestion is to have the program allow you to store, select, and flash multiple font sets from the X-Flash folder for changing between different fonts on the fly.
In order to maintain a distiction between several fonts, I think that the implementation of a folder system would be necessary. Here is what I mean:
../Modified/fonts/Arial/ltn0.pgf
../Modified/fonts/Courier New/ltn0.pgf
../Modified/fonts/Times New Roman/ltn0.pgf
This way X-Flash could give you a choice in fonts based on the names of the folders in the fonts folder.
What do you think?
can someone teach me how to set my own custom background????
and how can i put my won fonts????
um now, i want to apply the custom firmware mod, yet i hesitate, because its quite weird how there are no mod files present in the xflash release. does it happen that xflash itself produces them during application?
Not so much that it produces them so to speak... the files are compiled into the eboot.
aha, so i just like install the program, run the install custom firmware, and poof, done without anything more? like nothing like placing files here and there and do that and that etc.?
That's right, but Dark_Alex's original program wasn't any harder, and there was no real
fiddling with that either.
Did you see my post up above Art?
How's version 12 coming along? Can't wait for this :p
I haven't posted in this thread for some while, but d/l'ed every release to my PSP and XFLash never ceased to amaze me :)
One thing I gotta ask ;)
Is there anything that could be done about the monthly colors?
I mean, the background are replaced nicely, but the color when starting up or of the VSH headers and such remain the original color - any way of changing those? :)
Anyway, my respect, Art, this is one amazing pice of work! [thumbsup]
Thanx, yeah, I think there is a way, but I don't know if I'll find it.
I am programming in so much of my free time that there's little time to do any fiddling
with firmware. I haven't even found the time to fix my Devhook firmware when I could
easily do some simple things to it manualy.
BTW, that's what I hate about the XMB menu.
There is definately going to be a big flood of action with the latest changes to keep up with. Lol, I'll finish Mercury one day when the PSP scene is dead.
They could be calledZitat:
../Modified/fonts/Arial/ltn0.pgf
../Modified/fonts/Courier New/ltn0.pgf
../Modified/fonts/Times New Roman/ltn0.pgf
Aerial.pgf, etc, and all placed in a Fonts folder, one day yes that would be the ideal
way to handle all user files like backgrounds and all, right now there's quite a lot I'd
rather see before that.
nooooooo it will never die! :pZitat:

On topic, this programme is brilliant, but with the custom firmware its excellent! No chance of bricking :D
I just want to say I have a huge respect for you guys. I think you've managed to do the impossible for a lot of PSP owners...not only that, you just made flashing much much safer. I got a favor to ask though. I've unfortunately bricked my 1.50 a while back by tampering with the topmenu_plugin.rco file, and apparently it only plays PSP 1.50 or lower update Games. I really don't want to take away much of your time here, but I would really appreciate it if you could at least visit my thread at DCemu and let me know if there's possibly anything at all out there that can restore the other half of my PSP's features that I dearly miss so much...like homebrew. Again thanks for your time and support to the whole scene. People like you guys make the world a better place to live in. Seriously. Here's my thread...just read the 2nd post (mine) so you can see where I currently stand. Again, thanks.

my update icon was changed, and i don't have my old version of X-Flash, is the only way to get the icon back to update then downgrade? is it possible to use an old version of it to put back the icon?
You don't need to use that icon to downgrade, but anyway,......
Yes, download version 7 from this forums download area, and reverse the mod with
that.
What do you mean UPDATE ICON???
the psp's update icon...
thanks a bunch art, i love your program. ^_^
will there ever be a way to change the color of the icons, letters and/or wavy lines of the xmb?? i know in 2.00+, when you choose a theme the colors of the letters change, but they are light... will there be a way to make them darker, as well as an option to change the color of the lines and icons?... P.S.. the program keeps getting better!!!
ok, i must be stupid or something because i can't find the downloads section in the forum... could someone please point me in the right direction?
thanks
There you go.Zitat:

Is it just me or does your main post now say:
"Hello Unregistered! Triple Triad is now installed for "everyone" to use! However keep in mind.. more changes are coming and this may not be a permanant thing!"
weird
Well, that sounds even better. If you could squeeze it into the next version that would be awesome though. I have a few fonts that I prefer with certain backgrounds and it would be great to be able to change these without having to go to a computer each time.Zitat:

I don't know wtf that means, or htf it got into my post.. .forum bug?Zitat:

LMAO...everyone got that message.. Its the new tirple triad card game or sumting. But it will cost u ur points.Zitat:

Yo, art, clear ur pm inbox lol, why arent u reciving my pm's?
Check it now. I'm not getting the popup box in Win200 but I don't think I missed any.
I've gotta go in about 20 mins, so I'll check back then.
Did you get my PM(s) (about the button swap)?Zitat:
Zitat von Art
Yes, I upgraded a 1.00 and the buttons swapped back.
I already know about the button_assign value in the registry, just that when
I change it (I tried it again), the language turns to japanese.
Changing a few values around it doesn't seem to have the desired effect either.
It would be easy to overwrite the whole registry with a new one, if that was the solution,
but I don't want it to mess up the other settings in the registry.
?!?!?!Zitat:

is it possable to talk to that guy who made "button hack"? (also made "font hack") (programs, not the consept :P)Zitat:

i need help with the coldboot..i need Menu Edit by Loco001 to patch the .vag file...
Is all of this correct?
I don't know if somewhere throughout this thread there has been a discussion of menu sounds, but I was wondering if someone could point me in the direction toward making my own. With the older features of applying custom opening sounds and gameboot videos, a few people created threads offering up their custom-made sounds and ripped gameboots. However, after the feature of custom menu sounds was added I have still seen nothing as far as organized threads linking to homemade sounds.
No offense against the ones already offered within the release of X-Flash, but can anyone tell me how to make some of my own? I'm sorry if some people have already asked about this, but it would be a great help if someone could fill me in. Thank you.
i was looking for x-flash version 7....
but i found it, kinda with your help, i guess...
so thanks
:)
Art, i have just realised, DUMP functions, REGISTRY backup features, and overall file backup, dosnt work at all with my memorystick, it is a "fake sony" memorystick, and everything else works fine, note that devhook didnt in the early versions.
But i must say im quite sure if i attempt to "restore" something changed with xflash, it will not restore, and if you havnt implemented a feature to check if the restore file is present, problems may occur...
Do you have the flash0 and flash1 folders in XFlash/Dump ?Zitat:
Zitat von LordSturm
If not, create them and try again.
I doubt it's the memstick.
Unreliable memstick produce corrupted files rather than none at at all....
But registry backup and ALL other backups, (original files) do not save...
Ill try making flash folders then...
Download Theme PSP. It comes with the menu edit and the audio converter.Zitat:

Art,
I see you anouced the X-Flash V12 release.
But where can I get the file from?
thanX
Yeah you forgot to upload the new version! lol :)
To grit: Nice signature!
Art what would I do if I want to install mods for the Custom FW?... This weekend expect to see 50k from me ;)
