There ya go :)
how would one install a mod to the custom fw?
You can't yet, unless you use another program to write the new recovery.elf.
but I may add support for seperate recovery.elf files,
particularly since I don't like the original.
This version only deals with the original Dark_AleX released files for the time being.
WOOOHOOO!
Downloaded and installing on PSP right NOW :)
art is there a way i can change the xmb select sound? you have one included, but there is no option to use an external one. could you please help me out here? thanks~NAte
the config editor is nice and all, but it is kind off a let down. i was hoping for the ablity to edit the prx loading list. :P it is nice though
Like all previous releases...awesome program Art!
Art,
I'm using Dark_Alex's CFW POC, with recovery elf by Slasher and VSHExtender module for by jas0nuk.
Must I uninstall POC before using X-Flash?
thanX
I don't think you must...but i would take it as a precaution
Btw, what would happen if you, after having installed the Dark Alex POC, took off the memory stick before turning the psp on?
I really don't think you have to uninstall Custom firmware to use X Flash

It wouldn't be able to find the config and boot up like the regular firmware, but you vshmain.prx would still be modified.
no, why would you?Zitat:

nice work again art doe's it support harleyg'g firmware.

You make a select, or any other XMB sound, and I'll make the program support it.
So far nobody has.
This version can install AND uninstall Dark_AleX's POC firmware, so you don't need to.Zitat:

During the uninstall, whatever recovery.elf you are using will be deleted, and during
the install, the original Dark_AleX recovery.elf will be created.
A future X-Flash version will support the list of prx file to load, and hopefully have
the document reader able to look at it.
Art.
Ah v12 clearly fixes my registry problems, and you seem to have explained how xflash reverses its operations...
If i were to remove xflash, and install again without restoring defaults, could i still restore defaults? ( Are extra files kept on flash0? )
If so, neat. :P
yes...
There is only one picture for the about psp screen...
Could you add a second one in the next release?
wth is "name_plate.png" supposed to do?
ok i just opened up XFLASH v12 on my psp. so far i havent found a SINLGE new option in the menu....
can someone give me a link to where i can download custom boot intros becasue in this version of X-Flash i can use a custom boot intro. BTW i changed my firmware to 13.37 hehehe nice add
Heres a custom name_plate.png, LoL its the Nintendo DS logo, I saw this from Fluff and i had to try.

You can make a 480x272 png with just about any graphics program.Zitat:

best idea is to test with launcher, but they should all be pretty safe
since the PSP about screen isn't required for program execution.
You're not looking hard...Zitat:

The name plate mod is next to the wallpapers, and the DarK_AleX mod & configurator
is in option 14.
whats the format i need to use? .vag?:neutral:Zitat:

btw: the program is GREAT :Punk:
Art, X-flash is a really nice app for flashing. Keep up teh good work!
btw. you used the check free memory on the ms in the latest release, right? :)
Nice and clear!Zitat:

ThanX for the answer!
Control the prx loading from the configurator seems very handy. Do you mean with some kind of browser to select the module, or by scanning the "SYSTEM" dir and add/remove comment to config file?
And keep it UP!
Yes they are vag files, but the main sounds in the XMB are 1Kb max.. or possibly less...
Yes, thanx, there must be at least 16Mb free on the memory stick before it lets youZitat:

do a firmware dump.
I should probably check for a few thousand bytes for the registry backup.
i was going for an all over theme, and select sounds i was trying to encompass, i have a VERY small one already. thanks for the help! also, since you, to me, are and amazing flash GOD, I was wondering if you knew if there was any way to change the click noise while navigating? i'm really pushing for an all out "customized" theme. once again, thanks ~NAte
I'm thinking of ending up with a editor of some sort in addition to the basic configurator.Zitat:

First thing though, is not to overwrite the file config.txt for every operation.
at the moment, if the user has a list of prxes they are deleted if a new config.txt is
written. This is a small, and (not too hard) fix that needs to be done so that the
prx list is preserved, but the changes made by hte configurator are still applied.
Double Post Merge
the exact size limit is 1104 bytes, but Windows will say that is 1Kb.
That's the size of all cursor movements, clicks, etc.
ok thanks. ill look at each of them and check the size
EDIT: does the size on disk matter, i have one thats 750 bytes. and the size on disk is 4 kb.
That's not the problem. I know that the about psp thing has two images, not just one, like included in the package.Zitat:

yay for the nameplate mod. I remember when I asked you about modding that Art, you said it was useless, now I guess you realize the useless mods are fun too! :D
anyway, its a great feature imo. Where exactly does the name_plate.png get flashed to? Wheres it located in the flash? I want some way to do this in devhook also
Theres three images actually. The first which gets replaced by your nameplate, the second which leaves credit to flashmod (Art, you might want to edit that, i dunno) and the third which keeps the note from sony that PSP is a trademarked name etc.Zitat:
Zitat von st.jimmy
It would be cool if we could replace all 3.
Yeah. Trademarked by Mario......
Oh and Sony, you can kiss my trademarked ass.
:)
It still is :DZitat:

The first screen in the series was very easy to implement, and easy for the user to
edit the picture. The second two pictures are harder to work with because file size
(rather than resolution) must be exact. I might do something to black out the other
two pictures.
No, the size on disk doesn't matter, it's just showing you how inefficiently the fat system is storing your file.Zitat:
oes the size on disk matter, i have one thats 750 bytes. and the size on disk is 4 kb/
ok i have the sounds, time to eagerly await, thanks for all the help man. keep up the good work! :D
So are you going to post them?
