Hehe, Art don't be like that, theres always ***'s out there, its the world.
PSPU put my disclaimer on the top of my Casual Post, it might have thrown people off, but true supporters let that right past them, no problems, except for Piny, but thankfully he didn't make a big deal about it.
If you happen to Brick your psp one day, dont come back and nag at us, you did it, its your fault ( user that bricked psp's fault, lol ) unless it was a Brick masquerade, and i doubt Art would let such a stupid thing to happen lol.
Problem: PSPU overeact to any sign of danger, or illegal content.
Solution: Take the time to Research, or avoid a certain topic completly.
Art is right, if you want to scare people, dont Front page it, but hey they apologised, it was a stupid mistake, its over.
Art, i'll find u hosting some time soon, i think i can get u someone that gives Resourceful hosting to anyone thats worth it, and trust me your worth it.
Heh, I don't even need to tell you not to falter, because i know nothing can do that to you, your great. :P
Also sorry about the PMF issue i started before if that was me you claimed to be upset before, it was just me being my usual Speculatory self...
Good luck on whatever you plan to do, even if only a minorty appreciate you, realize only that minority will ever be appreciated in life.
Yawn... i speak too much.
EDIT: Do you really loose 100 pts for "Swearing?" sigh...
The pmf issue was broght up by another guy in another thread.
Do a search of this site for X-Flash.
I'm glad you bought it up actually. It's a good thing I have it in a post that I
decided to get rid of it (probably before he posted about it).
The hosting is well taken care of thanx... there were multiple offers for thatZitat:
I have given it thought, because having it there is not congruent with the reason
I gave that X-Flash will never contain a graphics library, so I will get rid of it
reguardless of whether I entirely agree on the copyright issue.
before I wanted them.
I didn't know you lose points for swearing. If that is set up properly, that's pretty ****ing impressive.
(no it appears you don't unless maybe an admin takes them off you later manualy, which is not impressive)
So you are going to host X-flash somewhere else?
Yes, that is not to say I have any problem with this forum.
Apology accepted.. it's all sorted. no reason to perpetuate that.
The reason to host it somewhere else is to protect myself somewhat.
It shouldn't be a problem for anyone. Consider the way you obtain iRshell /Psix/ PSPRadio at
the moment. You click a link, download it, that's it. No problem for the end user.
The benefit to me is... it ends up here or any other sites' front page, a whole
bunch of trolls start bagging it for any reason.. Art says "I didn't upload it
here, if you don't like my PSP bricker, don't make the effort to come over to MY webspace and download it".
(When I say 'My' I mean 'ours' because it is being donated by a very generous person).
So will you link to it in the first post, show the changelog etc?
I think he will.Zitat:
Zitat von Mister Chief
Like I got him he's not turning his back on QJ, this forum or anybody in it.
He's just looking for a more controlled environment for publishing (and giving basic support or simply chatting to "fans" ;) of) X-Flash.
(what's the "official" way of writing it: "XFlash" or "X-Flash"?)
So, I think the attachment in the first post is replaced by a link and once someone start complaining he can just simply ask the trollsAnd IMO he's right.Zitat:
Zitat von Art
Everyone going to HIS site and d/l'ing it is doing it intentionally - not just because it got featured somewhere.
And if QJ mirrors it their d/l page - not his fault :p
The sideeffct would also be, if you have a specific question or problem, you make an own thread for it then - posting everthing here is fine, but you might get overread in times where a lot of conversation takes place...
...I talk to much as well ;)
[ot]
loosing points for **** :D *CAN* be made automatic :p
[/ot]
[edit]
vvv Edited my sig vvv :D
Art, if u by any chance form a team, im in. :P ( Team of mod's or whateva... )
I wanna be in a team.
What team? who ever mentioned a TEAM!!!
lol.
Did you ever get those points LS?
No sir, i did not.
Me' thinks the donation system is going haywire...
( Mabye 1500 points was taken away from me cuz i got them, geeez cant a person get points in this forum? ) - Makes no sence, cuz i lost myself. <_<
Well I put them back in the bank for now.
/me 2 :)Zitat:

I could be..... the cool dude? Or the nitpicker :D
Didn't engage in PSP coding yet.... it's on my list tho....
Hmm....so you think if someone appoligizes, its all right? Im hispanic, and ive been called a **** before. Know what that is? Its like cracker or the "n" word for hispanic people. So, you think, if you come up to me, call me a ****, then say im sorry, i wasnt thinking, you think im still not going to punch you in the mouth? But atleast you cannot review what you say, but you can sure as hell review what you write?Zitat:

I'm not sure what your problem is, but I've seen nothing but piss and vinegar from you lately. Like we've said repeatedly, the comments that were made were in no way meant to infer that "this program sucks". It was a writer trying to be mildly entertaining while giving the whole "This program flashes your PSP, which means there's a chance it could brick it" speech.Zitat:
Zitat von Master Inuyasha
Your analogy to the situation is completely false. I just don't get why people who do nothing but complain and point fingers at this site still spend hours a day on it.
Sorry, but it's getting a bit frustrating...
Hey, I was just making a comparison. And like you said here "I just don't get why people who do nothing but complain and point fingers at this site still spend hours a day on it." I do not complain all the time, and I stay because its a great site for news and updates. I have nothing against the bloggers, just merely stating. Its just i dont want anything to happen to X-FLASH you know. Im sorry if i was being rude before, i appoligize, real-life stress can do that to ya. ;)Zitat:
Zitat von Jake
the situation has been given more attention than is warranted. Don't get in trouble over it.
I'll do my best to write "something" to get this thread back where it is supposed to be.

Don't take this in the wrong way but im curious of this word your talking about that offends you hispanics that much, Im Hispanic , i have heard some names and i know its off topic but just caught it? Its not Spick or beaner is it, or wetback or dirty goat? Im just curious? Bc i might be called it and not know what they mean.
pm it please don't do it in this thread.
I face discrimination all of the time, it doesn't have anything to do with this though.
Yes, I went pretty much off topic, i appoligize for any inconvenience I have caused. ( I now sound like one of those airplane attendants! :D)
Back on topic:
Saving custom menu labels to a file for later re-loading? :D
Renaming "Memory Stick"?
Downgrading 2.90 and maybe even 3.25? - whooops, wrong here ;)
/me thinks for another idea
...
/me still thinks....
...
/me got nothing.... YET! ;)
Saving custom menu labels to a file for later re-loading?
Does it matter if you can only produce the file with X-Flash?
You mentioned someone could write a Windows application specific for
writing the same compatible file 'labels.dat' or whatever, but does it matter
if you need to set it up in X-Flash.
I'll fill you in on an idea... encryption can be a very pleasing visual display,
but it would make it hard for anyone to write that external Windows program.
I only entertain the idea of encryption FOR the visual display possible in the editor.
-= Double Post =-
ps.. there is no real reason to encrypt the saved labels file,
but some ppl might like distributing their own files where the
user can't read the labels for a theme they made until they
opened it in the editor.
Yeah, that's me, who'll do that Windows app ;)Zitat:
Zitat von Art
It would only be nice to be able to prepare the labels on the PC, because the keyboard on the PC is "a bit" more easy to use than the PSP's one :D
(Yes, I'm SUCH a lazy ******* *lol*)
But I don't really get what you're saying about encryption....
You want to encrypt your labels.dat? Why? What for? Uhm... I just don't get it :PC:
ahh, I edited the post up there ^^
for the visual display of it that would be possible to make.
If you are actually prepared to write the Windows program then I won't do it (the encryption).
Other people would use the Windows program too I am sure of it.
That would be very safe even if the Windows program was buggy as hell,
so I wouldn't even have to check out any Windows programs that came out.
So the encrytion is just for the coolnes factor? THAT I understand :D
Well, this brings me to two ideas:
Either
1)
We share the encrytion scheme to be implemented in the Win app as well
or
2)
Make XFlash support BOTH, it's own created encrypted files as well as unencrypted ones from 3rd party people :)
I did not intent to interfere with your ideas/plans....
Yeah, I thought about option 2 .. .option 1 would have to end up a mess :)
I have to decide what I want to do , and do it.
It's hard to go back and add something like that Memory stick string..
Although that one I did count for when writing the editor, so I should be
able to add those extra two labels in.
Oh, just make a second editor for it! And a thrird one for the gameboot branding logo!
NAHHHH! j/k! ;):D:cool:
Ending up in a mess can be fun tho :D
(tho tho it doesn't have to get messy....)
Well, you're the master here, you'll make it right, I'm sure :)
Actually I am the master here. See the word master in my username??? :D
Master Soda? *lol* ;)
