A firmware dump, Nope, I dont know of any...
No worries.. I can't think of another program that does it off the top of my head
either.
I really dont think there is one??? Thats way X-Flash is so great!:p
I don't think there should be much less flash. There isn't really anything amazing added.
But if you wanted to be safe, put a smaller cap on the gameboots. People can easily flash bigger ones with UFlash, PSP Filer, etc and that way they couldn't blame you.
TUW Told me i can use uFlash for a firmware dump...
Cool. Well if you can manage to do one and tell me the size of flash0, it would help me get stuck in tomorrow.
Also I have found a way to make the 1.50 Custom Firmware configurator compatible with 2.71 SE.
The config file is in flash1... So you could change what is available there from X-Flash as well as
the recovery console.
add that for the next release, lol, SE-C is out, will this run for it.
nope, xflash doesnt work on se c :(Zitat:

Yea, That sucks...
hmmmm.....
like i said might wanna fix that for the next release.

dude sorry.
fine.
It's no problem.. just can't start on it till tomorrow.
I'd better thank pspgamer81 for helping me out with the flash dumps.
Thanks! :)
Your welcome!
I betcha SE-C will be 99% incompatible...
I get to test my custom smiley
You've got a few points,..http://forums.qj.net/user_pics/31732-1164521539.gif how much you wanna bet?http://forums.qj.net/user_pics/31732-1164521539.gif

Lol.. they can get quoted.
nearly the same.. no worries.
Its looking very good.
Good to hear.
I know it is very good to hear.:p
x-flash doesnt work for me on 2.71SE-C
i got the boot....
Art is already aware of that :)Zitat:
Zitat von Piny
okay, but i read on the forums, that it loads up just as normal like on 2.71SE-B''. so i just posted it here :)Zitat:
Zitat von Bundy
art made it work on se b, but not any others. that way if, for some reason, xflash would hurt se c+ people do not brick.Zitat:

I got it to work on 2.71 SE-C but i get a gameboot error...

Nevermind i got x-Flash verson 16 (no letter) working on Se-C
V16 has a bug that inflates some rco files to a larger size than they should
be.
Which will be a problem if you are using custom gameboots.. as you are
trying to do. I would recommend waiting.
Are you going to make a quick release just to add support to SE-C?
yeah, i'm holding back on C for xflash (its the greatest !!):Jump:
I got the boot to. I'll be patient.
i used pspfiler to change everything, works fine in my opinion
Ah i only made a dump and added a black background to noevember, no gameboot :P
OK, since I am very busy at the moment (even on the PSP scene)..
I have only made a change that will allow the program to start under SE-C,
and a fix to the parental control feature for 2.71 SE which are both part of the
startup checking routine. The core program is unchanged for now... but I do keep coming up with ideas..
Cheers, Art.
yayz!
Maybe a possiblility of supporting 2.71. The normal 2.71 not the SE firmwares.
There are NO other programs that work with 2.71(just had a loong debate about this. I also spent hours testing apps to flash a gameboot). Maybe at least allowing us 2.71 TA-082'ers to at least flash a gameboot. Of course it needs to be in HEN compatible format. please please please. I can conform that PSPFiler wont work on 2.71 althought I can also confirm it works under the same cirumstances in 2.8.
Thanks.
DAX made his SE flashing apps work only from 1.50 to deliberately prevent
TA-082 users from bricking their PSPs.
If there were no TA-082 main boards, his flashing apps would have allowed
upgrade to SE straight from the standard 2.71.
I think this is good practice, as there is no known way yet for a HB program
to tell if it is running on a TA-082 main board so that it could shut itself down.
The other problem is I'm not willing to allow beta testers for X-Flash,
or upgrade and downgrade back and forth from 2.71 to test things out.
There is no bricking failsafe for using complete upgraders and downgraders.
Whoa 16g is out? I looked at the thread and it said "Download X-Flash version 16f" still and I didn't see your last post >_<
Anyways woot! Good job!

Oh ya and an idea you could add in 16h if you wanted to. You have a disable network update, you could do that for RSS Channel and Location Free Player. Me personally wouldn't use that function at all, but there are lots of people concerned about flash and have been trying to disable those and this would be safer then giving noob PSP Filer and saying "go crazy".
I dont think moca asked for an SE on a TA-082, I think he wanted something like HenD support for Xflash, that or I just read your post wrong and I am confused...Zitat:
Zitat von Art
It's an explianation/example of why I haven't.
I didn't even know you could flash anything with a TA-082 mainboard...
There was a gameboot flasher that turned out to not work on a TA-082.
