How do you change it to 8-bit in MS Paint, and doesn't it have to be a .PNG? For my MS paint, it only shows bitmap that are in 16-bit, 24-bit, and 256 color bit. Know how to make it 8-bit?Zitat:

I dont like your new registry checker. now I cant enable flash or WMA without a WIFI
Create a 2 colour bmp of the image you want with some other paint program, then open it with MS paint and save it as a png.Zitat:

I might have to alter it to give a warning screen, but let the program keep running then.Zitat:

The current implementation of free space checking is only the beginning of what it should be.
It would be ideal to check the free space before writing any file that won't fit.
Art.
I've been using this since v15. I haven't dropped in to say how much I apprecieate this App. Keep up the great work Art, can't wait to see what other features you put in the next release.
Art the name editor is awesome. One of the coolest features in XFlash.
Still on 1.50 then you can search around for the other tricks ;)
Other tricks? Like what...lol :rtfm: :PC: :humped:Zitat:

Art, I think your free space checker is flawed.
You are checking space on the entire NAND and not just in flash0.
Making it seem like there is plenty of space when there in not.
No it should be just flash0.
the free space reported at the moment should be exactly 24Mb minus the
figure for the space consumed.
It's still not a good approximation just yet, but it's not the whole chip.
Flash1 would be another 4Mb.
You can dump flash0 and look at the folder in Windows to check ;)
Well there is no way I can flash anything near as big as I technically should be able to.
Why?
Because as it stands, it's a poor estimation of available space.
Try formatting a 32Mb MS and see how much free space is left.
it isn't 32Mb.
I hope to make a better estimation by partitioning a 32Mb MS into
four partitions 24, 4, 1, and 1. Then writing all 2.71 SE-B files to
the 24Mb partition, and seeing what's left.
Art.
Hope it goes well.
Enjoy your new medal!
Art and wich one is the original?? i am try to use the one you just release???\
My Psp SE-C
Use the latest version.
Can we apply a custom Coldboot.vag with SE-C or is that 1.50 only?
You can do that on SE, yes.
Thanks. It must have been the file I was using that wasn't working correctly. I tried a different one and it worked perfectly.:)
i've seen psps that have weird boot-up screens when starting a game...is x-flash the go-to homebrew app that's required for something like that? i'd like to know how it's done because it looks pretty darn cool. something along the lines of blood splatters that show up when starting a game or something like that, for one example i saw.
okay i read up a little bit about it. seems relatively easy enough. i'm now wondering something else though.......since the pmf is getting directly flashed, does that mean the gameboot will still be used when emulating 2.71 from dh0.46?
You don't need to flash anything to change the gameboot in Devhook.
You could just replace the gameboot.pmf in the 2.71 flash0 folder.
If you write one to flash, it will be shown when you start Devhook, but never
when you start a game from within Devhook.
Art.
sorry i might sound annoying but i still try the latest and it kick me out.
i think it says go disable somethign on reocvery menu.
Well, why don't you just do what it says.
thanks for clarification.Zitat:

what firmware are you on?Zitat:

Does this work in 2.71?
Yeah I think it works on 2.71 SE and 1.5
Does not work on a 082.Zitat:

Lol, I went out camping away form the PC with my PSP, and decided that I hate
the new sounds I put in.. except for the start up beat, so I'm changing it back :D
and maybe make another attempt at the guitar sample with less noise.
Could you maybe put an option where you can disable sounds all together?
I kinda don't like the sound scheme in general...
You mean no sound at all? Not even for button pushes?
Shouldn't be too hard... I'll see what I can do.
Thank you very much.Zitat:

You sure have weird tastes in sound ...
But I like the ASCII menu though.
THANK YOU
when i heard the new sounds, i though my psp was messing up :P
I'll be releasing a new version within the hour,
No major improvements, just small changes as I get the time.
I don't want to implement a mute option through the user interface just yet,
but if you use this registry, X-Flash V17e, and any future versions will be muted
except for the music in the credits demo that is played by Mikmod.
This Theme.XF file should be used to replace the one that is created in the
Xflash folder when you first press 'X' at the agreement screen, and interestingly
enough, this zip file, when unzipped, produces a smaller file than the zip file :D
Art.
I wish there was a HEN-D compatible X-Flash......... but you don't know how to code for it... oh, well... *sigh*
BTW, how about making a feature where you can edit DevHook firmware files? Like ThemePSP can.
Cool.
Thanks for the heads up. Good work!
Back to flashing my gameboot....
That's what the test mode is, except it was written before Devhook wasZitat:

an emulator, and makes changes to the dump in the "Dump" directory.
It was assumed you use MPH firmware loader with it's config file pointing to
the dump that X-Flash made. How things change. Isn't it possible to configure
where Devhook looks for it's dumps, or must they always be in the dh folder?
This is where it gets complicated to cater for all users.
Hey Art Got a quick Question, Your current release do I just drag the root in the game folder? Becuase I am kinda confused since i dont see the traditional 2 folder % and regular one.
I think you can with the source. I think it's bundled along with 0.44.Zitat:

You shouldn't use this program at all.Zitat:

Maybe it's time for a change to where the dump is made, and changed in test mode then.Zitat:
