Yeah... Man... I'm feeling depressed. I really want X-Flash for 2.71 HEN-D TA-082... sigh...Zitat:

Ok, the new one is out.
The 2x speed trick is press 'X' anytime during the startup checking to double it's speed.
The mute resistry tested ok, I didn't like it without sound, but each to his own.
LOL the new intro beat is pretty cool
XFlash is awesome. Art keep up the great work.
not to be rude but haven't the last idk like 20 releases been nothing but gui fixes.....
something else to safly edit on the psp
It's not like your paying for updates.Zitat:

I think the answer is no. I have set it up for bigger changes,
and you might think that writing my own sample player to use instead of
Mikmod is no big deal because there is little difference to the end user,
but it made the program use that much more of my own code instead of
someone else's, and that is what I set out to achieve at the time.
Now I can use my own sample player in other programs which is likely to happen.
yeah Art is awesome. Just because they arent major releases they are still improvements. im sure people who play WoW know all about little patches and releases.
Any plans to possibly update X-flash for OE-A 3.02? Id really like to use it.

Someones always got the nerve to ask that. Whether it for xflash, or irshell, or when a DG comes out for oh say 2.8 someone will ask for 2.81 .. lol sorry just kinda ticked =)
Of course someones going to ask for an update, why expect otherwise? This is the biggest custom firmware since SE-A. And its not like I said "GIVE IT TO ME NOW CUZ I ARE A NOOB SAUCE" I asked politely, and tryed not to cause a fuss. Jeez.
My apologies if you don't go to several forums and ask the same question even tho you get the same answer. I've seen so much of that lately. I'm sorry my bad.Zitat:

Its all good man, I know where to go for the answers. Straight to the source :) Sorry if I got a bit out of hand?
Well of course there'll be an update!
Flash space is very tight for this one, things that consume flash space
(like gameboots bigger than original) might have to go.
I am also hoping to do the MAC address changer at some stage.

Is it even possible to change your media access control? Wouldn't that stop some things from functioning?
You need a disclaimer for that Art.Zitat:

Saves for Tekken and Socom 2 will no longer work after you change your mac seeing as they are mac locked.
I hope you finish the new version soon.
I can't stand that branding. :(
And Monkofwar it changes the MAC in ID storage not the one in your wifi card so everything works fine.
Here is mine:

I think that MAC address change would fool some things and not others.
I would have thought that retrieving the MAC address through the use of the
WLAN library would get the real one from the wifi card.
Well most importantly for now is the 3.02 support.
It will take some time because it's starting over again
(and I have less programming time than ever due to my new job).
All of the addresses to read and write for every mod will be different like
the change from 1.50 to 2.71, and have to be re-discovered.
I'm going to have to get Devhook set up to emulate 3.02.
I assume that is possible at this stage?
Tekken reads it from IDstorage I know that much.
Have you upgraded or tried that mod yet Art?
Zitat:
Zitat von Mister Chief
How did you do that? Thats actually wicked sick... i had no idea you could do that.
I don't think I will use it until X-Flash can do it.Zitat:

Maybe if everyone had the same MAC address we could make universal
compatible Tekken game saves.
I will upgrade to the new firmware.
Lucky there's two weeks before I start my new job,
so I should find soome time to work on it.
Don't get fired this time...
you can't two people with the same mac if they want to play against each other over the net or ad-hoc
Did you read what I said?Zitat:
Zitat von mafia1ft
It only changes the MAC in IDstorage not the one on your wifi card.
they are likely going to effect a change in paperwork that will mean I resigned.Zitat:

I'm quite certain that I'm more suited to my new job :)
Yes indeedums. Also, does it take up too much flash space to re-incorporate the menu editor flasher? It was SO nice and SO easy to use. If possible (or not too hard), id like to see that back? Pretty please? Ive been meaning to ask you for a while.Zitat:
Zitat von Art
It doesn't take up any extra space.Zitat:
Zitat von Wonkizzle
Its just impossible to do on 2.60+ :p
Its not impossible because you can use programs like 3.02 OE-A Customizer to do it, you just have to hex edit the topmenu_plugin.rco. I just wanted an easier way.
Since the topmenu_plugin.rco file in 2.71 is encrypted, it is probably also encrypted in 3.02.
Well I did the deed, and yes, stock firmware looks hopeless.
I forgot about the music visualisers, they look good.
How are you supposed to play a PSX game?
I will aim for a very basic version first off.
Yeah...Zitat:
Zitat von Wonkizzle
A 2.50 topmenu_plugin!!!
Anyway Art, I'm going to try to debrand the gameboot and coldboot.
If I get it to work you'll be the first to know.
Well yes, If you succeed, then the addresses would come in handy.
I'm sure you will do it if you try. The two opening_plugin files may not be all that different.
Cant wait for X-Flash on 3.02 OE-A!
how can I decrypt the 3.02 topmenu? I thought the highest we can go is 3.01. I'd like to contribute to the hex address search.
I doubt we can.Zitat:

Has anyone found where the 01.bmp - 12.bmp backgrounds are being read from?
The selection can be made between them, but there is only one background file (January) in the usual folder.
The new bmp is grayscaled right?
Maybe the firmware applies the color itself.
Kinda of like how its slightly tints the text as well.
I had thought about that.
I'm about to find out by making 10-12.bmp black.
What were the addresses in 2.71?Zitat:
Zitat von Art
It would help a bit I'm sure.
it is 12 images strung together, not a gray scale image. you can look at the file size and tell. you can use a hexedit to seperate them.

i thought the files were merged into one?
check with a hex editor
Makes sense. Much simpler idea.
Well I'll mess around hex editing it tomorrow.
Its too late to look at hex code right now.
