art made it work on se b, but not any others. that way if, for some reason, xflash would hurt se c+ people do not brick.

V16 has a bug that inflates some rco files to a larger size than they should
be.
Which will be a problem if you are using custom gameboots.. as you are
trying to do. I would recommend waiting.

OK, since I am very busy at the moment (even on the PSP scene)..
I have only made a change that will allow the program to start under SE-C,
and a fix to the parental control feature for 2.71 SE which are both part of the
startup checking routine. The core program is unchanged for now... but I do keep coming up with ideas..

Maybe a possiblility of supporting 2.71. The normal 2.71 not the SE firmwares.

There are NO other programs that work with 2.71(just had a loong debate about this. I also spent hours testing apps to flash a gameboot). Maybe at least allowing us 2.71 TA-082'ers to at least flash a gameboot. Of course it needs to be in HEN compatible format. please please please. I can conform that PSPFiler wont work on 2.71 althought I can also confirm it works under the same cirumstances in 2.8.

DAX made his SE flashing apps work only from 1.50 to deliberately prevent
TA-082 users from bricking their PSPs.
If there were no TA-082 main boards, his flashing apps would have allowed
upgrade to SE straight from the standard 2.71.

I think this is good practice, as there is no known way yet for a HB program
to tell if it is running on a TA-082 main board so that it could shut itself down.

The other problem is I'm not willing to allow beta testers for X-Flash,
or upgrade and downgrade back and forth from 2.71 to test things out.
There is no bricking failsafe for using complete upgraders and downgraders.

Oh ya and an idea you could add in 16h if you wanted to. You have a disable network update, you could do that for RSS Channel and Location Free Player. Me personally wouldn't use that function at all, but there are lots of people concerned about flash and have been trying to disable those and this would be safer then giving noob PSP Filer and saying "go crazy".

I dont think moca asked for an SE on a TA-082, I think he wanted something like HenD support for Xflash, that or I just read your post wrong and I am confused...

It's an explianation/example of why I haven't.
I didn't even know you could flash anything with a TA-082 mainboard...

There was a gameboot flasher that turned out to not work on a TA-082.

I've seen custom gameboots and backgrounds on a 2.8 TA-082, why wouldnt it work on a 2.71 TA-082? All I really want is backgrounds though.

And uh, you don't need to flash backgrounds you can just set them in the photo menu...

uhhmmm, lets see, for starters I have 2.71 NOT 2.8 and I have tried deviant flash for 2.8, it doesnt work on 2.71.

Making X-Flash compatible with flashing to a 2.71 normal PSP. I am not requesting SE for a TA-082, but just want to be able to customize my firmware. It has nothing to do with the motherboard. Its just that no one has created an app for flashing a 2.71. Its like we are being ignored because now people are making things for 2.71SE and 2.8.

My request is that you allow a flashing of a gameboot to a 2.71TA-082 or not. There are absolutly NONE. There is always some problem that prevents a program from working. Even for PSPFiler. And the 2.71 SE gameboot/customizers are in 1.5 format...

I'm not mistaken your request for SE.. just pointing out that there must have
been a reason Dark_AleX wouldn't allow his flashers to run on TA-082s..
since otherwise he could have made it so you upgrade to SE from 2.71, and
not 1.50... but he didn't do that because he didn't want TA-082 users to run it.
.....he made it so you couldn't run it from 2.71 at all .. just so TA-082 users couldn't use it.

He didnt allow the flashers becasue a TA-082 cannot upgrade to 2.71 SE...It uses the 1.5 bootstrap. I dont think TA-082 can use that under normal circumstances.
