Ghost Haven, the XMB editor becomes unlocked when u flash the topmenu rco file..
I didn't make it that way. Sony encrypted the topmenu_plugin.rco file in every firmware version after 2.50.Zitat:
why did art make it go that way for us to enable it there?
So if you want custom icons or edited labels we use a modified 2.50 decrypted version which people have
worked on to make it more workable with current firmware versions.
The function to copy the topmenu_plugin.rco file was hidden away there in the hope that
people who don't know what to do with it would not use it.
The method described (information screen, hold let + right trigger + X) copies a new topmenu_plugin.rco,
and THAT enables the XMB label editor and custom icon options.
Was it really that difficult to press sideways a few times?Zitat:
Don't worry I ****ING got it you ****ERS!
Ah, quite a bit I'd say.. nearly 2Mb left?Zitat:
If I have used 17.5 mb of space on my flash how much space is left?
It is impossible to say because from the moment you start changing wallpapers, etc. you start
reducing the available space slightly.. even after the files you add are deleted. Just like the
FAT system on a hard drive.
Hey Art, did you consider my idea? About being able to update to the newest X-Flash straight from the program itself.
I can't find it in here, and don't have any pms from you in the last few days...
Do you mean X-Flash checks and updates over WLAN?
VOIP is the closest thing to get me near wanting to look at using WLAN on the PSP,
but if were to undertake something like that now (given the time) I would
drop X-Flash altogether and give voice recognition a serious go.
"Network Update" in X-Flash sounds neat :)
And pleeeeaaaazzzze, don't drop XF.... Yes, VOIP is nice, but X-Flash is as well :)
Lol, I don't reeeeeely have time for either, but as you can see I have a little
trouble stopping altogether.
Ok, I got it working, thanks. So is it possible to flash a background using X-flash with 300x170 dimensions? I still want the wavy effect like in 1.50.
Yeah thats exactly what I meant. Or try and get your program in the Install-O-Tron's database, because it isn't there.Zitat:

I read up on how to use kgsws's icon editor, but the "start.cmd" file only brings up the "open with..." thing when I click it. I read up some more and renaming it to "start.bat" seemed to fix the problem for some others, but it still didn't solve it for me. What should I open it with?
EDIT: Also, when I start up X-Flash, it says "20.0 mb of space used in flash0."
Is that alot? Do I have space to install custom icons? If I don't have the space, will X-Flash warn me, or will I brick?
Art, the premade XMB labels do not work under the new version
i have teh edited topemenu, and i want to remove tradmake symbols, but it says i need 1.50
the custom editro works
well art would have to edit the offset's to meet the new ones
I know I can use: "PERMANENTLY REMOVE NETWORK UPDATE" - will it also remove network update icon or only files in flash0 leaving icon untouched ?
i believe it only deletes the file in flash0.

would it be possible to add a feature to modify xmb labels and save them to a file via xflash??? i know u can modify and use a pre-existing label file with windows prog , but it would be nice to be able to save label file via xflash... if not no problem.. thank you ART.
X-Flash is the greatest flash mod app ever and thank you for all your hard work Art... is there any way to donate to you???
The first versions containing the label editor had that featuer (save to file), but Art took it for some reason, can't remember ATM what it was....Zitat:

Was something about messing something up IIRC....
i cant remove TM symbols, it tells me its only for 1.50 even though i have the modded topmenu and i can use the 7...whatever label editor
sample246, it might be because you haven't installed the microsoft.net framework 2.0 which is needed for the icon maker to work.
you can download it here..
http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/d...displaylang=en
hope that helps..
Yeah, AFAIK the "Remove TMs" isn't done for other FWs than 1.50 so far....Zitat:

Can anyone teach me how to restore back the original xmb icons plz?? where do i press the circle button at?? Thanks
i found out already but most of the icons are messed up like the camera icons etc are showing icons for the usb mode how do i fix this plz help
more xflash! comon new version lol!
Isn't it possible to manually remove the TM Symbols from the topmenu_plugin.rco? If I can move it around, It surely can is possible to remove it right?
------
I can't get my custom made name_plate.png to work so, are there any specifications?
I don't think the tm symbols are in the topmenu but in only 50% sure
Well If I can Change "Location Free™ Player", into "Blood Fort Andromeda" and "RSS Channel Settings" into "Spell Book Rituals™" surely its int the topmenu_plugin.rco. =/
yeh itis and the hex code is 2221
yea it is how mafia1ft5 said.
Overwrite those two values with zeros and you'll have the TM symbols removed
They are immediately after the last letters of a label
to replace original SONY XMB Icons u need to goto xflash install font option and press right on the d-pad... and then i think circle...
3.03 OE-C is out..
hope u release X-flash that supports it.. =)
It's been a handful of hours since the release. Give it some time.Zitat:

I refuse to update to OE-C until Art releases his OE-C X-Flash! ALL HAIL THE ART! LONG LIVE THE X-FLASH!
NVM, aparently it does not work :P
Yeah GMDude I'm too lazy to do that.
Now we just wait for the brilliant Art to update X-Flash.
Yup :D
Yeah, what I say :DZitat:
Zitat von xploren
I aint updatin' to OE-C until a new X-Flash comes.
I need my X-Flash mods on my PSP....
X-Flash Modded PSP > Non modded OE-C
But I gotta admit, OE-C *does* have some nice updates, can't wait for "beeing able" to upgrade.
I wonder how many ppl will totally brick their PSPs using the new USB access things....
my $0.02
I'm afraid I'm going to have to call it quits about here guys.
I'm running into the simplest of problems with another PSP program
(for example loading a file from Memory Stick to memory like X-Flash does all the time).
and getting support for PSP programming has always been difficult.
I may have to get a PDA or some other portable device where real support is available
since my latest programming is business related. It was worth a try to use the PSP as a business tool.
