I know that the supplied sample (X-Flash logo screen) works,
I'll give yours a shot when I'm playing with it next.
Meanwhile, it would be possible for you to do a dump, and see if it is there
in the flash0 dump.
I got the nameplate working on mine BTW.
Bwahahah, another PSP branded with my nameplate! X3 I've actually got a color one if yer interested in using it for a wallpaper. Goes great with a purple theme.Zitat:

It was definately copied over. I had to overwrite it when I used PSPFiler. However, it wasn't being used by the PSP. It's the strangest thing.Zitat:

OK, I have run X-Flash v 16g unmodified, put in 1.0 Eboot format, run through the eboot fixer, and after disabling all plugins, etc. It always freezes, I have even redownloaded it from other sources. The only thing left that I can think of is that I have the usbcam and usbmic prxs installed. What in the world can I do now other than reflash my firmware over again?
EDIT: I found the problem, the screenshot prx caused the psp to not have enough memory for it to run. :( I feel a lot like I've stepped in poop for some odd reason. This stinks.
It detects the amount of available RAM at launch so that X-Flash can't be run
over bulky applications that step into user RAM, and may inherently use a lot of CPU time.
This doesn't include iRShell which is disabled seperately.
Great fore-thought on >>> Art's part <<< :D first time I've heard of it kicking in.
That's clever protection. Still, wouldn't that just exit out and return you to the XMB rather than freezing the psp? Mine crashes. Maybe its just an incompatibility with the 2.71 SE-C prx pack's screenshot prx.
Ah, ok, that sounds like more than RAM consumption then.
It should give you the boot for excess RAM consumption, not just freeze.
X_Flash uses way less ram than many other apps, and Sony games though.
It uses little if any more RAM than double the size of the application itself...
Which could be a few Mb at most..
There must be some other incompatability with it.
Art, Do you ever plan on releasing the source code for X-Flash?
He's said no before, but I don't know about know. I don't think it would be a very good idea. It would be like releasing a super dangerous trojan virus to a bunch of computer nerds. The amount of bricked PSP's and X-Flash rip off would be endless.Zitat:

Plans on a HEN-D version??:(
Can't seem to get a gameboot I made a couple months ago that worked on my 1.5 to work on my new 2.71 SE-C. I'm putting it in the "Modified" folder and naming it "gameboot". Everything goes fine...it flashes, and says it was successful, but when I start a game or homebrew it just shows a blank gameboot.
Any ideas?
Well, Why not release to trusted developers?
Are you talking to me, gamer?
If so, I probably can't release my gameboot, since it's a "custom" gameboot which I made myself...wouldn't want to get banned again. :)
Edit: Guess you're not talking to me...lol.
There's only a few of those. And they could probably write their own.Zitat:

That is a difference between 1.50 and 2.71.Zitat:

The original built in plain black gameboot I used in 1.50 didn't work properly with
2.71 either until it was fixed by DarkStone.
There are known problems trying to use custom gameboots with 2.71.
Try a similar size pmf file from a UMD they will work if they fit on flash0 and verify.
Will this X-Flash work with my 2.71 SE-B''? Or only for 1.5 and 2.71 SE-B

To be honest, from the documents about HEN, I'd have no idea how to go about it,
and it's difficult to get help from anyone who can (tried asking for help on ps2dev.org?)
I'd rather spend the time adding features I know will work, or writing a different app
altogether, like a decent guitar tuner.
Originally, this was only ever going to be for 1.50.. Had I not upgraded myself,
it still would be.
O_o....Would the XFlash work with 2.71 SE-B''? And would there be any chance of bricking my PSP by using this...I mean like a big chance...
Yes, it works with SE-B'' and SE-C. And yes, there is a chance, but it's small. X-Flash verifies all the operations, making it safer than most flashing programs.
Alright man, thanks a lot =]Zitat:

Can anyone help me...I want to know how to Add in Coldboots, and gameboots? Thanks.
To add custom ones, you must first find one. Then put it in the X-Flash/Modified folder. Then start up X-Flash. Go to option number 2 and scroll until it says, "Press X to apply external opening sound". That will apply the coldboot. To change the gameboot, go to option 8.Zitat:

How do I go about putting 'Papyrus' font in my XMB. Im a total noob to XFlash so any help would be nice.
You have to convert it first. If you give me a link, I'll convert it for you. Then you put it in the xflash/modified folder. Then go to the option that says install custom font.Zitat:

Link? How do I find a link of a font? lol. Its a font used in Office Word and such. Do you mean a link to a pge that use he font so you know what it looks like, but I still dont understand?
EDIT: Lol. here...
http://fairy.dataforce.net/~w_dimkin...99/papyrus.zip
thanks.
OK, here is the converted one. Unzip it and put it in the xflash/modified folder, replacing the old font. Then start up X-Flash, and choose the option to install custom font. I would advise that you either have 2.71 SE or a custom firmware, that way you're safe if anything goes wrong.Zitat:

yeah I got 1.5 HarleyG thanks.
EDIT: Im just curious. What program did you use to do that. Id like to know for future applications of trying different fonts.
