Because if you enter pretty much ANY settings thing or use something called search it would be pretty obvious.Zitat:

You did not need to resize it.
But it did need to be converted from png to bmp which I did.
Enjoy.
Here's an update to try. It's small in functionality,
but quite some work implementing a new HI-FI sample player.
Some differences with the way audio is handled will be noticeable
throughout the program, particularly in that only one sample can be playing
at once at this stage. One sample can be interrupted by another though.
Yah! V17! Every release from you is ALWAYS good!
I like the registry check, I just got the boot.:)
hey does version spoofing work for SE-C yet?
We cant spoof a version on SE-C yet...
Can anyone help me with the Name_plate? What's the max filesize it can support? Because I have some that are like 3kb and when I try applying them, it just shows a white screen at the about screen. Any help?
I'm having trouble getting an about screen working myself.
I'll do a dump again just to test it wrote to flash0.
I'm pretty sure the file writes to flash0 ok.
Check this one out. I installed the latest version and then had to restore default settings in order to access v. 17. After I restored, all of the main text is pink. These screenshots don't reallly do it justice, but it is pink.

Saved Data Utility is pink.

Internet Browser is pink.

Battery Information and the shadowed items are in pink.

Memory Stick is pink, (Free space info is white)
Cool. Thanks, but do you know what's the max file size I can put as my Name_Plate?
You really did still have a 1.50 registry.Zitat:
, all of the main text is pink.
Your theme settings just kicked in because you now have the 2.71 registry.
You can change that theme to January (grey) permanently so the
font doesn't have the monthly colour shade.

No, but I don't think file size is the issue (might be wrong), but the png
attributes like bit depth.
Thanks, this PSP has gone through many firmwares in it's lifetime. I use it for trying out a lot of apps. I have another PSP that just stays at 1.50 for a backup.
Ok, I suspect the name_plate problem is just happening to me while using the "Art" nickname.
Everyone else should be able to use the example name plate ok.
The maximum size name_plate.png that will be written correctly is 2500000 bytes.
There is no size check on it though, as this should be above the size of anything that would work.
what do you mean...like do I name it "name_plate" or just "name plate" without the underscore?Zitat:

I have found a problem with the name plate routine and hopefully fixed it.
It works ok for me now anyway.
Try V17b.
It's called name_plate.png like the example (or just name_plate if your Windows
installation doesn't show file extensions).
Art.
Cool, hehe, thanks a lot Art :D
Edit: Bah, it still shows White. The size of my image is 176 KB. and it's 480 x 272. What am I doing wrong...and it's named "name_plate"
Does the included example work?
Yes the included example works.
I'm not sure of the exact specs.. the example is actually only two colours now.
More details are posted ...somewhere.. in this thread by Freeplay or Fluff I think.
A lot of name_plate files that worked on 1.50 do not work with 2.71.
Aw, that sucks. I've always wanted to change the About PSP screen just to Mark that it's my PSP. Hope there's some way to fix it.
If it's only text, why don't you do it with black & white in MS Paint?
The sample picture is done with MS Paint.
Yes, I've done it with MS Paint and only Black n White, but the same things happen to me...the size of the file is 13.6 kb.Zitat:

i would like to have an option to remove the tm and (r) tradmark symbols on a 2.71se-c:tup:
also is it possible to make all of the about screens 1x1 pixel to save space becasue for me it is nothing but a wast of space
the registry check is annoying, cause my registry is probably wrong because ive applied a X/O swapper, cause i like the japanese style better. are there any X/O swapper for 2.71SE-C that doesnt mess up your registry so it wont work in x-flash?
sorry for my english....
Hey Art, thank you for taking the time and trouble to make X-Flash. I was wondering, will the menu label editor ever be implemented for 2.71 se-c? That was one of my favorite features on 1.5, so i was hoping you could explain why it can't be put in, if that's the case.
You have to be sure that the image is 8-bit. =/Zitat:

because the 2.71 topmenu_plugin.rco is encrypted.Zitat:
so i was hoping you could explain why it can't be put in,
The next version scans all files on flash0 and calculates how much space is used,
and estimates how much space is left.
I have written this into the startup routine, but it would be good to check
again for each option that writes user supplied files.
It's suprisingly fast to check. my flash0 for SEB3 is 20600121 bytes (19.6Mb).
Ok, so in lamen's terms, it's just an encrypted file blocking it right? Thanks for answering me Art.
