hi art
i 've an idea for your genius program
why not improve your built-in editor to change your displayed firmware to support 3.02 OE-A and to add text
for example
http://www.pictureupload.de/showpic....RFACE_OE-X.bmp
you just have to hexedit
systemctrl.prx
in flash0:/kn.
Thanks, I will probably do it, and make the version spoofers work again.
I didn't know where DAX was hiding it.
I was wondering how you were supposed to change it. Thanks for the tip.Zitat:

LOL. I don't know why its funny but it is.Zitat:

i asked the user who posted that picture in a german forum
and he said that he asked Dark Alex himself at the Maxconsole forum
Do you know the exact address where the version number is held?

we should mess around with how long it can go....
think of the possibilities....
Never mind I found the address I think
0000A47C
Very nice, v18 is soon to come:D
i'll ask and post the resultZitat:

@loner i think 6-7 letters
I won't do the firmware spoofers for V18 because then there's no way it could be a Christmas release.
But I did do the coldboot sound, and that's more than I thought for this version.

Its at most nine letters (including space) written like this
where "." is 00 in hex.Code:U.S.A. .F.T.W.!.!.
I got more letters to show but not the ones I wanted so I'm ignoring that.
The offset seems to be 0xA48D.
Not sure if that makes sense...
Art so you are planning for this to be a Christmas release?
My system software is blank. Is that normal? It just says
"System Software " If not how do I fix it?
-=Edit=-
What is "pops.txt" in the "ms0:/seplugins/" for?
It's almost ready.Zitat:

It's the morning of 24th here now in Australia.
Woot. I cant wait. X-Flash on 3.02 OE-A.
Well it's up for download now.
Let me know if any/all mods interfere with the PSX emulator.
Cheers, Art.
im downloading now :D
Woot...Art has done it again :D thanks so much Art!
Thanks for the release release of v18 art :)
There's one problem...When changing the background...what happened to the option of choosing the month you want to change...or is there a way to do that...cause I just want to change my January Background.
That change is deliberate because of the way 3.02 handles the background pictures.Zitat:

See this thread:
http://xflash.pspstuff.de/forum/viewtopic.php?t=202
It would be possible to write single pictures in and out of the consolidated background file,
like when restoring the originals,
but dropping the eleven extra backgrounds saves 67936 bytes which is getting
valuable for 3.02 OE.
Uhoh...after applying multiple mods using the newest version of x-Flash, I can no longer start "Crash Bandicoot" using the PS1 Emu...I'll post updates in a minute.
Edit:It loads the "copyright" screen, and before the PS1 Intro movie comes up, I get:
The game could not be started.
(80000004)
The Mods I have applied are:
-plain black background
-Network Update disabled
-Custom Font
Aww, that sucks >_< Now I can't have the black background with the wave effect without seeing all the other months all white.
You can set the black background all of the time in Theme Settings.
I feared the PSX emu would stop working when some mods are applied.
There must be a sig check to make sure they haven't changed.
There's nothing that can be done about that as far as I'm aware.
I'm still downloading my first PSX game to test with the various mods.
I don't think that every mod will affect it, just some that alter rco files.
-When applying the black background, the PS1 emu works fine.
-When applying the "Disable Network Update", the PS1 emu works fine.
-When applying the "custom font", the PS1 emu does NOT work.
-When applying the "Black Gameboot", the PS1 emu works fine.
-When applying the "Debranded Intro Screen", the PS1 emu works fine.
-When applying the "Remove Wave Effect", the PS1 emu works fine.
-When applying "custom sounds", the PS1 emu works fine.
My guess the only mod that makes the PS1 emu not work is the font mod.
I'll do some more testing.
What do you mean by "all of the time in Theme Settings?"
I just have a black background for the Month January, but all the other months have empty spaces in the Theme Settings Selector thingy.
hmm..i don't have any psx games right now to test, but flashing a gameboot worked flawlessly :D
-= Double Post =-
what do you guys mean black bg?? wouldn't that kind of be boring or am i missing something?
"Plain black background" meaning black background with the "waves" in front of it.
Well with or without the waves...
Go to the only part where you see the black picture, or your own picture,Zitat:
What do you mean by "all of the time in Theme Settings?"
select it, and it will appear on your XMB, and stay there. It won't change with
the months.
When you're sick of that picture, change it, and do the same thing.
(or use a photo wallpaper).
