What about removing the wave effect?Zitat:
Zitat von aDcOoL
It should work because the changes are made to the same file as for debranded options.
Art.
cool, never tried plain black bg..it looks awesome! :D
After removing the wave effect, the PS1 emulator DOES work fine...custom sounds work too.
Art I Love You, Nice Release
Ok, thanx, so it's not so bad if there's just one thing you can't do.Zitat:

Although I like the ASCII font :(
other than for testing,
I'm only going to use the PSX emu if Kula World or Gran Turismo come out.
No problem Art.
Excellent release!
and thanx for the kind comments everyone :)
Merry Christmas!
I gotta go to a lunch. I'll check back tonight in case any other problems are identified.
Thanks art! You just do wonders for the homebrew world!
Thanks Art!
*goes to edit firmware version*
Anubis, the offset for it is 0000A480
what does black gameboot look like?
-= Double Post =-
and how do I get black background with wavy lines to work? heres what i did i went to paint made a 60x34 black bmp image then set it as background.bmp and put it into modified folder in xflash then started xflash and result was white background how do I fix this?
There is a black background biult in to the app.
Go to menu option 5, go sideways to "apply plain black background",
press X,
Exit to XMB menu, Go to Theme Settings,
select the black background which will be in the January position.
Nice release, I know many people have been waiting for this. I have a question though. If I just use a custom gameboot and debranded gameboot, will PS1 emulation still work?
Thanks for the release. This came out very quick! And brucelee your question doesn't make sense. Quote "If I have a custom gameboot and debranded gameboot" Quote You can't have both but it will work with debranded not sure about a custom. I think it has to be smaller than original gameboot.pmf
You can have both custom and debranded gameboot...
Most ppl wouldn't want the PSP ogo showing over a custom gameboot.
and reports seem to indicate it won't interfere withthe PSX emu.
You can always put it back.

makes perfect sense to me.... thats a gb with no psp logo
and is opening_plugin.rco used in x-flash? flashing a custom one will make the ps1 emu not work..
I can confirm it still works.Zitat:

I just got my frst PSX game, and it works with all mods applied except for the custom font.
Umm... I hope I don't sound stupid but, I cant seem to find the option to debrand the gameboot. Can anyone tell me what number it is? Is APPLY DEBRANDED INTRO SCREEN the same as applying a debranded gameboot?
it's to the left of that.
I've still got to do something so ppl know you can move sideways.
Heh heh... it's the first option, just search for it with the directional buttons.Zitat:

How many people have asked that now?Zitat:

A crap load.
People are dumb.
I used "Plain Black Background" and like others i got my 1 black background and the rest corrupted.
However, this happen too when i changed them on Devhook 51,
but fixed it.
The thing is that in the built-in 01-12.bmp, the black backgroud was placed instead of the 01 original one therefore all the following backgrounds get corrupted. But if the black is put instead of the last backgroud(12), nothing get corrupted
I have that 01-12.bmp file with the black background at the end Which i was using for devhook but How do i flash it with x-flash?
Thanks Art, you the man!
I was finally able to get a plain black background without corrupting the others
Simply place 01-12.bmp I uploaded BUT rename it as background.bmp so that you can replace the background.bmp that is in the modified folder.
Now got into x-flash and in #5 find and select REPLACE BACKGROUND PICTURE
However, I had to sacrifice the Pink theme instead of the Black one.

That was clever thinking. You could make a 3.02 compatible consolidated file of
pictures that way (they could all be black if you want).
It seems important to people that all twelve pictures be useable.
I suppose I will have to write a routine that swaps individual backgrounds in
and out of the consolidated file. I thought the saving of flash space would be better.
I wouldn't say dumb... there is no real way to know when you look at it,Zitat:

except fo rhte movement of the finger which might go unnoticed.
The most impressive way to let people know (at least for me) would be to have
X-Flash look at the first ten or so movements in the menu, and if none were sideways,
pop up a message in the window saying you can move sideways
(for first time use).
Yea, thats a good idea. When the 2.5-2.6 downgrader came out I used xflash for the first time, and it was about a week later I realized there were more options.Zitat:

Not every font prevents the PSX emu from working.
After Downloading Birdman's font pack, and trying a few, and also converting
a few more of my own, I think that it depends on the size.. I mean the actual
height of the letters. Only small ones seem to work with the PSX emu.
Well the first the I flashed was the plain black background. Then I flashed a gameboot and when I reloaded XFlash it gave me a warning about flash memory is low, so I took if off. When I load it says I have about 0.2 of Flash0 space used up. Is there anyway I can free some of this up? (I'm on 3.02 OE-A)
Yup, I can also use a custom font and PSX games.Zitat:
