Using this newest version, Im not sure if im doing anything wrong, but when I put a Coldboot.vag file in the modified folder, I get the boot. I renamed the original to coldboot.wav, and the size of the file is 59kb. Is the file size to small or something? I dont understand.
Send it to my email address in the credits scroller and I'll have a look.
There's usualy some problem with them since there's already an example file
with the program that it starts with during testing.
so art will you add what i requested here http://forums.qj.net/showpost.php?p=...postcount=2460
There's no saving of space made by Disabling Network Update with X-Flash.
It doesn't delete any files or replace them, it just swaps out a few bytes.
That way no rco files have to be biult into the program.
If I were to have it delete and replace files to disable features, rco files
would have to be biult into the program.
how do i make a merged 1-12 bmp out of 12 seperate ones? and what dimensions and file size should it be?
i have 1-12 ps3 backgrounds so if there already is merged one please link it
thanks in advance
cool to see version spoffer works on oe-b how'd you do it? since (i heard) it was impossible.
also my parental level is off but i get the boot because of it anyways, and it says that my registry version does not match my firmware version, is that because i have OE-B or because i have a custom bootsound and font?
Yaz I have been having the same problem.
^ You need to restore default settings in the Settings menu in the XMB.
That will rewrite the correct version registry.
Someone posted a few pages back where it is stored. systemctrl.prx.Zitat:

I knew it had to be somewhere, just hadn't found it.
You need a hex editor for that, at least until someone writes a Windows program to do it.Zitat:

At the moment that file won't work unless the first eleven pictures are all
60x34.
I merged 12 different backgrounds together all 60 * 34. but flash it, it only takes the first background and applies that to all the months. Im on 3.02 OE-B. is it possible to flash that merged bmp so that it applies to all 12 months?
(im renaming 1-12.bmp to background.bmp and putting it into the modified folder to flash - is this correct?)
That's about what I expect would happen... the idea was to only include one
background, and have it duplicated.
I haven't implemented a way to accept a consolidated file, as I didn't really
expect too many people to produce them.
In fact, I started out doing it differently alltogether.. if you used V18...
just writing one picture for Jan that could be a larger size.
Do people really want the backgreound to change every month?
I for one wouldn't mind an option that accepted a consolidated file. That way there would be valid choices for people who want a changing background for each month and a single background for all months.Zitat:

Well its not really so it changes every month but so i can pick a new background out of a similar set from the settings like i would for the normal month backgrounds. also the wavy lines look cool and i don't believe you get them on normal backgrounds.Zitat:

and thanks for the advice on the other stuff im going to try that now and tell you how it goes.
EDIT: ok i restored default and it works thanks :)
PS: i hope a merger comes out soon. and one more question .... i heard the bmp has to be the same size in bytes as the default one. how does someone go about changing the size that precisly?
The file size of every bmp should be the same so long as they are the same dimensions.
Some paint programs don't conform to this though.
Hey there Art, for some reason ever since I moved up to 3.02 OE-A and OE-B Xflash isn't working. I have 1.5 Kernel on and Xflash says incorrect registery version.
Reset your settings to default in the System Settings and you should be ok.
Anubis now my USB port doesn't work lol.
Hey thats sounds like a hardware problem to me.
Try USB mode from recovery and see if that still works...
k assuming i managed to get my pictures merged and the right size. how do i make it so it uses each individual month , not just the first one?
this can be using any program not necessarily xflas but it would be nice to do it on a user friendly program like xflash
Hi, i really need help. I have FW 1.5 and i was running X-Flash 18c on my psp. I didnt applied anything, i was just looking wich options that i could use, but i didnt used one...well, after i exited X-Flash, i turned on my psp, and the thing of 'Sony Computer Entertainment' with the sound and visual effect was gone!! it was just a black screen for 2-3 seconds then my psp started up.
I tried to use the 'remove' function for that but it really didnt worked.
Now i dont got that thing anymore...but thats not a drama, i am afraid that it has caused eventually more dammage in flash0 maybe, but till now i havent seen something else wrong.
Can someone help me to restore that please...and i also want to ask: if i want to go to 2.71SE or 3.02 OE does my psp will brick because there actually missing a file?(the file with 'Sony Computer...'). So is the full firmware needed to install 3.02SE without any file missing, or doesnt that matter?PLease also tell me if eventually other stuff is missing and details...
I would appreciate it very much if somebody can help me out because im really stuck with this problem. Thx!!
i doubt you have a file missing and even if you did it wouldnt affect you installing a new firmwareZitat:

Lol, That's what a debranded intro is.
Go back and press Circle on menu option 1.
is there 3.02OEC support?
3.02OE-C doesnt even exist, so guess what the answer will be :down:Zitat:

Does this work with a downgraded TA-082? I downgraded mine to 1.5 and then updated to 3.02 OE-B... so, will this work??? I am jumping like crazy here... please help me out.
Should...
There probably is, since it supported OE-B before it came out :P
If anyone tries out the new version (there is little updated), it would be helpful
to know if the information (Country Code? Model) in the information screen is correct
for your PSP.
When you're in that PSP information screen, PRESS UP.
Don't worry, X-Flash can not write anything to idstorage area yet, just read only.

Do you have another PSP?Zitat:

because I thought you'd posted in here before.

have you used any other homebrew program that writes to flash?
If so, I suppose the answer is yes, but it's untested with TA-082.
I don't know if anyone else has tried.
I just found out how to detect a TA-082 mainboard, so if there is any problem with them,
I can kick them out.
Hmm..
I tired using X-Flash v18d on my 3.02 OE-B firmware. It booted me because it said I needed to turn parental control off, and it is off. It's been off for like a year.
How to I avoid that?
I have 2 PSPs, one 1.50 (broken) and one 3.02 OE-B (TA-082). I haven't flashed it yet, so I dunno if it works or not. :(
