Is this going to be 2 player via wifi, or ad hoc mode?

You're correct..
It's pretty much impossible to do in LUA.

that too.

wait? multiplayer is possible in Lua, Gutya?
The only way I can think of is:

coding this game in both Lua and C (or C++, I'm not sure what difference is between the two, but thats besides the point), and letting the C coding handle multiplayer.

No ad-hoc suport, only infrastructure.

I know infrastructure would be much harder, but if you got some help from people who have a lot of network knowledge, and you were able to do it, can you imagine how big it would be?! You could have little tournaments and other fun stuff like that. And if there was more than one server, it could be even more popular. I think it'd be like the most popular game. The only homebrew that would rival it would be Quake, but this would be cooler since it would be made for the PSP and coded from the ground up.

Oh well, I'm only dreaming...I know all that stuff is pretty much impossible.

Just continue the single player mode until it's perfect, and then you can BEGIN thinking about multiplayer, even if all the thinking ends up is saying that it can't be done.

Its possible, it just takes a while.

Oh yea, I agree with this guy on waiting until you've perfected single player before going on about multiplayer.

LUA doesn't even support ad-hoc. If it were multiplayer online, iw ould have to be infrastructure.
