Anyways, you should have different battle scenes too. Maybe that beach scene, because right now... it seems like that beach scene has nothing to do with the game.

Yeah its possible, im just not sure how either as I load each image seperately for my games as well.
This is an example of an rm2k sprite sheet TMK. It uses this one image (it loads PNGs only I think...) and gets all sprites off of it.
what is usually done (what I think)
Is that Rm2k loads the image, and ignores the background color (in hex...but lua uses RGB values...shh. Noone has to know.)
It uses a certain amount of pixels for each sprite, and pretty much cuts up the sheet into separate sprites, disregarding the background color.
you can do that, but it gets complicated sometimes when you get large speadsheets.
Also, I forgot what exactly, but there were a few things I found I wasnt able to do since I loaded sprites from one large pic. It had something to do with wanting to do something TO ONLY ONE MY LITTLE SPRITES but ALL were affected. Or maybe I just dont know how to fully use it, but point is, things change a nice deal when coding like that.
Ya truly I think it is easier to just load each image seperately, but thats just my opinion.
Its easier to load each sprite individually, but along the lines of filesize of the overall game, as well as how smooth the game would run (load 50 images? or 1?)
the entire game runs nicer.
Trust me on this one, I used to use a 333 mhz PC with a p2 processor and 32 mb or RAM (same specs of the PSP in a PC) and things ran great when I used sprite sheets.
But then again this is nowhere near my project, so its really TMK's decision on what to use.
Lets just say, sprite sheets are a bit harder to code and is harder for modders to mod (sometimes you don't place it perfectly on the sprite sheet).
Well I still think individual images work fine. For my game it runs smooth, but I could try switching to sprite sheets just to see how they work.Zitat:

Sorry for any confusion, every time we hit a big breakthrough, we will have our team of testers to test it, just to make sure everything is going OK.
They will also be the first to get the full version, for the reasons above.
The pause is being implemented by PD currently, the exit was never supposed to work and more BG's are coming soon too!
The Healthbars are also incomplete, a name will be added soon.
Now, with the custom character, im not sure how PD is doing it, but i have a few ideas.
AI will be improved on in the next few weeks, and more attacks for the character and enemy will also be added.
I am working on animation glitches right now, and if the game slows, we will turn to using sprite sheets for the characters like you suggested.
I expect that the thread will slow down from now, because every new addition will not be updated on as frequently as before.
But please keep posting, and Tell us all your ideas! WE NEED 'EM!

ok, I'm at school right now so (yes, I still have school and will this week and the next. sucks) I have to wait til I get home to do that.
It's way too easy to code. and if the sprite isn't in the correct place, you realign it. that's what grids are for.Zitat:

I've asked Charlie, admin of evilmana.com about this before. it's really easy.
You would use this command:

sourcex and scourcey are the points in your image where the image begins within the full image. width and height are how big the tile within the image is.
So let's say you have a tile image that has 3 images across and 2 rows vertically totalling 6 images. We'll say all the tiles within the tileset image are 32 x 32 pixels.
