This is a discussion on uni remote within the PSP Development Forum forums, part of the PSP Development, Hacks, and Homebrew category; is there a uni remote for 2.01+???? if your not sure do not post, i just want a answer yes ...

is there a uni remote for 2.01+????

if your not sure do not post, i just want a answer yes or no with input preferably

No because it needs kernel to access the IR port. And this belongs in the homebrew help section

Lua cannot handle IR remotes.

And LuaPlayer runs in kernal/user mode depending on the firmware version.

Im pretty sure there was a team developing a lua-based universial remote actually.
If you search you'll probobly find it.

yes but it is not universal but you can get the rdf diles for the tv or whatever you need it for. ir commander v0.8 it is called i think someone has a thread full of rdf files for it

IrDA has been working with 2.01+ since the first eloader beta without the need of any kernel access it's only the tv remotes a part from the sony one that are not working at the moment there are about 8 working IrDA apps working on 2.01+ and even Ir's works with Lua player

IrDa DOES need kernal access. So does WiFi. How did they get it working? They patched the libraries.

no they did not patch the libs...
fanjita found a way of running kernel mode libraries like ir and wifi in user mode.. or rather, found a way to run them without kernel mode...

and no, this wont result in a downgrader !!!
