--beta release notes
k well heres my beta version with a better ai and a menu so it's starting to actually look like a real game i think=-) so heres all the notes: --controls same as alpha version*see below* --to do list: 1.smarter ai 3. more enemies 3. found a glitch that kills the enemy automatically(didn't seem to be to big of a annoyance) 4. i forget 5.notice ther is no 2? 6. just looked back to see? 7. back on topic 8. highscore 9. other stuff --note these: 1.the enemy doesn't just run up to you now unless you get close to him(200 pixels) 2.he may fire from off-screen so since you can only fire to the screen it means you gatta get close without being hit currently working on 3.some other stuff i can't think of 4. mr.game i didn't get your pics in yet sorry but they well be in by the next version 5.looking for people that could help with menu gfx or maps/stuff on maps mr.game is doing a good job with the people thus far 6.is still slow on psp (still codeing with luawindows)i have to increase speed still=-( beta version: http://www.geocities.com/slicer4ever06/pspaintball.zip pic: http://img433.imageshack.us/img433/9...picture0gj.png --alpha release notes well some of you may remeber a while back that i asked for some help with my game as i've goten little help and the only gfx from mr.game i am posting this to A: see if i can get more people to help me out with gfx B: to show you what i've done thus far C: well can't think of a c anyways some things to know: --controls: X = fire O = when hide behind text comes up press it to "hide" /\(triangle) = when hideing press to get out = since this post has been incorporated:icon_mad: = working on --to do list 1:make menu 2:make a walking sequence :icon_mad: 3:make the ai better :icon_mad: 4: get it so you can have more enemys on screen :icon_mad: 5:tons and tons of more stuff --note these: the hideing does nothing no menu at all the guy glides map moves extremly bad ai(working on) seems slower when on psp i coded it using luaplayerwindows so... bunch of other stuff also note this is coded in lua here it is: http://www.geocities.com/slicer4ever06/pspaintball.zip this is the second game i've ever made and this one well be improved provided i can get some help with gfx=-) img:

ill get it once theres a screenie if it looks like a fun game, cuz my stick is PACKED with stuff i like to play, so if you get a screenie, i might check it out

Yeah, must say, playing it on the PC... lol, still a tad buggy, and has simple things to fix, and i have added them to my own script, i meann your script, but i modded it a tad tokeep the players on screen...
May I suggest throughing these couple lines into your own code to fix the problem? Code:
if Player[1].x < 0 then Player[1].x = 0 end if Player[1].x >= 434 then Player[1].x = 434 end if enemyarray[m].x < 0 then enemyarray[m].x = 0 end if enemyarray[m].x >= 434 then enemyarray[m].x = 434 end Just trying to help :-) Oh and my LUA is rusty, but i ran it on my PC and it worked fine, now there are boundaries for those lil' nasties so they cant go runnin from the battle =->... Hope this helps anyone annoyd a lil' by running off screen lol... EDIT Oh and c'mon, you have to admit, making the painball gun automatic sounds pretty sweet :mrgreen: I think ill look into that for my own amusement lol :razz:

yea i plan to have the map move in my next version which i'm working on now and i have a menu up and running =-) also currently working on geting the enemy smarter hey i made frontpage also=-)

Oh and to get scrolling ya know, look at lumo's example, its good, and you can replace the boundarie with a scroll effect to get it working... Just trying to help.

A: SG57 lua is a lot like flash except with some things like: if (code) {code}in flash you put:
if code then code end in lua not to diffrent so i already know plenty and know how to move a background as one of my earlier experments in lua i don't want to put you down or anything but i do know alot and i well ask when i do need help now then do not take this as being mean i am just stating somethings that as of currently i understand pleanty of things=-) B: jait k nice to help you =-) c:and thanks everyone and as an update i currently have my enemy jumping when you fire a paintball at him so now he's harder to beat=-) and he well get closer to you

I wasnt saying you didnt already know, i was just kinda seeing if u knew or not via this way... Cause i really wanna see this game develope a ton and really quick too.
And i should have added somewhere if u didnt already know or just a comment or something so udidnt have to really read or do anything about it, just kinda either wave it off or do whatever u want with it i guess. Whoops.
