Compiling Lua Source v16..?

Hi i am having abit of trouble compiling lua player v16...
I havent edited it or anything, i am just trying to compile it
to see if it even compile's...
Problem is, i get this error when i type "make" the cygwin...

What seem's to be the main problem?
Nothing has been moved or changed... not even edited.
I cant find any older versions of lua to with
the source code.. i seem to get some jpeg error's,
so i am guessing my cygwin needs updating or something
like that anyways..?

do you have freetype installed?

cause it says ft2build.h is missing

EDIT: required libs are: zlib, libpng, libjpeg, freetype, liblua, liblualib, mikmodlib

I havent updated or anything for along time..
what shall i do?
i also have amikmod error with the older versions look:


Could you point me to where to find everything needed?
And where they can be found etc (or how to initalize them).

You forgot make.
And you can just write:
svn co svn://svn.pspdev.org/psp/trunk/libmikmod && cd libmikmod && make && make install

the readme just says "make install"

That's why I pointed out that you need to write make before make install

for that particular lib, make does nothing.
make install does both

if you look on the compiling luaplayer tutorial, its only make install

when in the freetype folder

- sh autogen.sh
- LDFLAGS="-L$(psp-config --pspsdk-path)/lib -lc -lpspuser" \

- make
- make install

each bullet is a command

Okay so i installed everything needed,
followed the officail tutorial and it all went okay.
BUT when i try making lua i get this error:

Correct, that is the problem with the new SDK. You CAN compile luaplayer .11 and lower, but thats all.

BUT, thanks to oobles, LuaPlayer .18 is compilable.

How do i compile Makefile.psp-standalone ???
What do i need todo to compile it?

If you want to have your game in it, simply edit src/boot/boot.lua (i think the folder is "boot"...). If it still compiles with the original luaplayer code, delete boot.c from / and try again.

As i dont need standalone then...
