    Default PSP Audio Recorder (beta)

    This is a simple tool to record audio of games or a predefined homebrew at PSP/GAME/HOMEBREW.
    It works by hooking the data that is being sent to the psp audio channels.

    Usage is very simple. Press X to start the UMD game, or O to start the homebrew.

    During the game/homebrew, press L+R+O to start capture of audio, and press L+R+square to stop it.

    Audio is saved under PSP/MUSIC/ in WAV-PCM format (a minute of sound in this format is about 10 MB, so be careful with your memstick space).

    Problems:
    - While you are recording, the sound that you are currently listening lags. Don't worry, the sound that is being written to the file will be better.

    - Some times, 44 bytes files are written because tha application/game reserve an audio channel but then they don't use it. Those are empty wav files, delete them.

    - Also, some times games/homebrew output silence to some channels, so you'll end with some wav files that are fully silence.

    - Some games don't work with it, i don't know why.

    Seems good, a bit unessecary though(!t :P)... And I assume it's for 1.5 only, right?

    looks cool, but yeah it is 1.5 only cos it runs in bg mode!

    yes, for 1.5 only. it would be easy to port it to 1.00 changing a few lines of code, but this require kernel mode, so no 2.XX

    I like it :) Only problem is with Lumines..seems that the PSP presses all of the buttons (well start, and x I think) and makes Lumines unplayable :o the music quality is pretty good though

    in your next update for people that do have 1.5 you could make it so that you can use the headset so you can make littl memo's to yourself unfortuantly i can't use it(2.5) but sounds cool

    Haha, this is awsome.

    I tried to record the boss music for MMPU, it took me FOREVER to get to the boss room (because all of the buttons were rapid-pressing) and when I finally finished recording, the wav ended up being all scilence!!! NNNOOOOOOO!!!




    Anyway this is awsome, good job moonlight.

    lol oh yeah, but this is like that lyricxs remover for PC, what could be done with a tweak of this thing would be to be able to remove the lyrics from a song in a game tyhen play karioke.

    When I press o to load homebrew it just freezes up the psp. Haven't tried it on a umd.

    I got the same problem as diallo when trying to run the UMD, but it does mounts.

    Is the author of this app still continuing development of this homebrew? I would actually enjoy using this to record online conversations. Kind of like MSN does. I have 3.40 OE though.

    Moonlight is DARK ALEX, I had no idea. I really wish this would have gotten updated to where it could atleast be used on 5.00M33. I would have downgraded back to 5.00M33 for it.

    Sorry DARK ALEX, I didn't stay with firmware.
