Not as far as I know, it's probably just the presets staying on in sleep mode. If the preset has a very low frequency(like deep mind) it will make your speakers shake, unless you have some really nice speakers with a good range :)

dude ive been reading about this on bwg site thing, and which version of deep mind is this? the 4th? o ya and can u control the oobe thing? has anyone actually done it?
Yeah it's Deep Mind VI. I've come close a few times, and experienced the pulling sensation described by experienced travellers, not to mention an array of hypnagogic imagery, which I believe to be a kind of 'visulization' for the brains ticking over speed.
By the way gameroftheuk, if you want to get any effect from this speakers aren't the way to go I'm afraid, although I guess it could be quite relaxing a bit like white noise. By the time the two signals reach your ears they are inexorably mixed so the binaural beat is hardly present.
So is this like a hypnotizing tool to make you fall asleep or to relax your mind and psychological being?
Pretty much, the binaural beat can only be heard by both hemispheres of the brain working together. Forcing them to work constantly on 'generating' the third binaural tone I guess helps center the mind, and the constant stimuli at a certain frequency helps the brain wave level decrease or increase as wanted. That's the theory anyway, and it seems to work :)
That's brilliant, Psilocybeing. If you work around with presents and frequencies and sound waves and stuff, you probably can create something like this ! Can you not?
Hah! Nice idea, I'll check that out :). Google here I come!
edit: Unfortunately ultrasonic repellents don't work, as shown by a 2 year government study :(. A shame, as something like that would be really handy. There's nothing to stop you from trying it I think, as the frequency holder goes up pretty high. Try adding V30000 0 to a preset file to generate a 30000hz tone. I'll give it a shot now also :)
edit2: It seems to generate the tone, but fails after the first sample, by the sounds of it due to the mixing. The second tone was heavily distorted. I saw on the thread you mentioned that the range of the PSP is up to 20000hz, so 30k might be out of the range.

I thought I could use a nice dragonfly sound file to repell off mosquitoes, just haven't been able to find a decent one.... :(
do you have to use this when you r going to bed? or can it be like, if your wide awake.
It can be used whenever you have a half hour to set aside, or while you're working with some presets. I'll write up some of the presets that come with BWG tommorow. One of them works on alertness, like caffeine.
