Default Treasure island Dizzy - Work in progress shots

Just a quick post to show how well the Dizzy clone for Flash is coming alnog. Ive got the core engine running at a healthy 11/12 fps on the PSP and the map conversion is coming along nicely. Here are some screenies for your pleasure.

As you can see I aint the best artist out there at all, and you may have realised by now that psp flash HATES complex bitmaps, much better to use vectors where possible (actually this is true for the PC version of flash too but then we all have 3ghz+ processors now so its hardly noticable)

You must make 2.7 users really happy. I might touch up my actionscript a little. Are you a 2.7 user yourself?

Yes I am. Never really used much homebrew anyway, so upgraded 2.5 - 2.7, actually really enjoying RSS feeds as well atm, so all in all im happy.

As I work with Flash it seemed natural to try and adapt what I know for the PSP, with a little thought and careful planning most stuff can be coded to run quite well in Flash on the PSP tbh.

Uhh do you have msn or something? I've made a site with about 70 games that use the psp's controls but they need testing.

I dont have MSN sorry but feel free to PM me a link to test on the forums. Controls are pretty limited atm, you got D-Pad with is the arrow keys, analog stick which is the mouse, and X which is the left mouse click. Thats about all I found so far, however most games could be converted quite easily as long as you can decompile them, obviously you can only do this for non copyrighted games.

Cool, I love Dizzy! I remember playing the DOS version on my old Windows 3.1 PC!

I hope this will end up working with the flash player in PSP File Assistant (I have 1.5)
