There's a firefox portable for PDA's I think I wonder if it would be possible to port that? The PSP Radio plugin browser is wicked though nonetheless!

The firefox source code is MASSIVE, and sometimes relies on non-open source plugins, such as Flash. Firefox tends to bloat seeing as it's designed for desktops - it's using 31MB just viewing this page!
It almost certainly wouldn't work on the PSP.

The way Firefox handles it's memory is optimised for desktop systems with harddrive swapfiles. The PSPs browser allows you to see this site becuase it was designed for the PSP, Firefox was not, so would take a heck of a lot of porting to get it to work.

AnonymousTipster is working on a fantastic browser in my opinion, why don't we wait for that, a browser only designed for the PSP, and will have all the resize page things, plus it will use the PSP's memory, not more.

Hope we will see it out in a few months, it would definatly be better than Links2 i think, hate that memory prob!

Don't even try to port Firefox, i think you can't make it!

yeah, very much doubt firefox would work! heres a crzy idea (im 99.99% it wont work though), wat if some took the firefox pda version and converted it into a .iso file, then ran it using umd emulator? cuz i think the emulator runs different iso files becuz it gives the option if music, video, game, ect... but this is mainlky a dream and a crazy idea... lol

Firefox uses a massive amount of memory and complicated modules that the PSP does not have. When veiwing many pages in 10+ tabs it can use over 100 megs of ram.

No.
An ISO file is simply an archive, like a zip/rar file, except designed to store all the LBA table data.
Just putting Firefox into an ISO would not make it run, it would still be programmed for the ARM processor of the PDA.

Firefox would be great but pretty much a lot of hard work would be needed and it would be very very difficult to do.

For now enjoy the link2 browser in PSP Radio it is quite simply unbelievable!

A standalone Links2 (which utilizes all 24MB of RAM) would be nice.
Raf has said he will try to do this next week.
