PSP dev environment...
Was just wondering the following, what kind of psp dev environment do people use?
Last time (and first) i did any coding for the psp was using the tetris source code for gta fanjita released for 2.0+ (thanks fanj. btw!), as i got a 2.01. At the time was compiling my code in cygwin, copying to memstick, firing up gta and loading the save game with my binary. Made a little tron game with some basic 1 move look ahead ai :).
not exactly the nicest setup and got quickly bored of the mallarky of all the steps...
just wondering if there is any more direct way of developing for 2.0+ psp now.. curious to see what people use/do.
any1 have any experience with PSPLINK and 2.0+?
PSPLink is not useable on 2.0+. It would be your best option if you had 1.5. Otherwise your best bet may be to include a USB client to your program so you can transfer a new copy while the old one is running. But a program crash will mean rebooting.
The best thing I ever did was port everything to SDL so that it can run natively on my desktop. That way I can finish the game then change a few DEFINE's and it'll run on PSP! Sweet!
