.zip Unzip plugin for iRShell released (AnonymousTipster)
Seeing as there were so many requests for a .zip extractor, I thought I'd do one :icon_smil
It's programmed as a plugin for iRShell, so you'll need a 1.5 and iRShell 1.5

Release thread: http://www.phpbber.com/phpbb/viewtop...m=irshell#2524
It's only been tested with the latest iRShell internal beta, so i'll need to know if there are troubles running it with the public version.
Enjoy!
I have now done a standalone version for 2.0+ PSP's.
http://www.anonymoustipster.com/tips...Standalone.zip
This version requires you type in the .zip file manually, like with the directory, so it's slower to use than the 1.5 iRShell version. It's packaged as a 1.5 setup (I think the eLoader works with that?).
Hopefully someone can test + confirm this works before I can finally get some sleep

I read your post about there being a lack of a built in RAR library in the pspsdk, but RAR support would be awesome.. could finally extract downloaded homebrew without connecting to a PC.

Is it possible to make it where all the homebrew files (except of IRShell & Unzip) can be in a single .zip file, and have your plugin be able to read and load the files within that compressed archive without having to extract anything?
Kind of like what the DAX Ziso loader does, but that's only for ISO files.

Awesome, and you should make this a stand alone app like TMK said. Then mayb you could make it for 2.0++. :Punk: :Punk: :Punk:
EDIT: I remebered that Slasher had that poll for requested homebrew, and this was one of the choices. You beat him to it!Last edited by PSPduh; 05-27-2006 at 01:20 PM.

True but you must not be greedy becuase there are more 2.00 plus users then 1.50 users but its his choice whether or not he wants to but i hope he does.

Standalone version completed. See first post.

May want to update the first post with it.
Thanks.
Oh, and Psypher, i'm not sure about whether it's possible to effectively have a zipped memory stick, but what should be possible is to be able to unzip part of a .zip (say 1 folder) to the GAME directory, run the EBOOT and then re-zip it. It would take a lot of work though, I'd prefer to finish .zip and do .rar before that. Oh, and there's a little thing called Eclipse I also need to work on
.
The finished unzipper will be working it's way into Eclipse so it can automatically extract downloaded zip files without even having to leave Eclipse.Last edited by AnonymousTipster; 05-27-2006 at 02:24 PM.

Eclipse is a browser for 1.5, so i'm guessing it's in kernal mode.

I've just noticed that attempting to create a directory to unzip to will not work (inside the plugin)
The PSP locks up, and you have to do a hard restart or whatever, or take the battery out.

Great work! This is the best companion for links2 & iR Shell. It's a WIP and give it some more time, it will be perfect!

AhMan I was wondering how you create plugins for iR Shell, because I want to do it for some of the open source emulators.
