Good news! Slime Volleyball PSP has been updated again, although this time there is no file. I have rewritten the code completly. Rather than being a clone of the original Slime Volleyball, Slime Volleyball PSP has become more of a port. The physics were to hard for me to understand, so this seemed the easier solution ![]() As the current version does not work perfectly and has a number of alignment bugs, I have not included an updated file. Instead, there is a link to a video, which you can watch and see how the game is progressing ![]() Secondly, I have contacted Wedgey, one of the original creators of Slime Volleyball, who will lend a hand with issues here and there when I come across them, which will be great. An AI bot will also be added, as soon as the script for a ball bouncing has been fully developed and in working order. Graphic artists are still welcome to 'spruce' up the game a bit, also with a menu. Enjoy! ![]() Update 1/6/06

Yay, slime!
The ball physics are essential stuff though, you should take a look at the source code for the original, maybe.

I modded Slime Soccer into a rediculously large amount of different games whilst learning Java. They ranged from small changes (like moon slime) to crazy changes (Random Slime) to complete makeovers (KungFu Slime). Some of my changes were even copied into other peoples games (My code for water+splashes and slimes on elastic was used in the American Football games).
I used to host my games on slimesector, but I moved onto C++ and left slime behind (I never finished Slime Invaders either). Most of my games are now hosted on www.Slimezone.com

I did a modification of slime volleyball, available at circlesarefun.com called slime wall ball, but I never got around to finishing it. montrob, your help you be greatly appreciated
I have more ideas for the physics needed. As for looking at the original source code, it is quite complex / hard to understand if your not the original developer I am not an expert when it comes to C/C++ like programming, whereas give me a VB project and that's much better ![]() Anyway, my next step in developing this game is to get the ball 'bouncing' correctly on top of the left slime.

Thanks a lot TMK that would be great
I am also in the middle of exams, got today and tomorrow to go, so Sat & Sun will be more development days for me.I know a fair bit about collision coding, the slimes move perfectly with collision and the jump looks normal. Its the ball that is going to be the trickiest part (with the angles)

Alright TMK, unless you are too busy with SBA, then we can do some work then
I have already improved the ball bouncing, it feels 90% right.

Probably, i'm working on it as we speak, the physics are proving to be more difficult that I imagined :P But I am getting there. The full game will not be released by today though, not at all. It's not that ready.
