Copyright Infringing stuff will not make the PSPU Frontpage.
Well, I've noticed a lot of new homebrew games borrowing stuff from actual games which are in production. And therefore, I've made this thread to inform all the homebrew game developers.
If your game/app infringes copyrights, it will not make the front page.
We already received a Cease 'n Desist order from the DMCA when StarCraftPSP was released. Blizzard went to those guys, who in turn, contacted the QJ.NET admins to take it down.
And it's not something which the admins are happy about. And sure as hell, they don't want anything like this to happen again.
Today, a new homebrew game, PSPZelda was released by ShockD. Although the game looked promising, it was using ripped sprites from the original Zelda game. And that's copyright infringement.
You guys can still go ahead and release it in the forums. Just don't expect them to make frontpage.
And please don't post bullsh*t in here. The decision rests solely in the hands of the admins. Constructive criticism, yes, please go ahead. Otherwise, no need to reply.
Admin Edit: This not only applied to sprites, but also to copyrighted and trademarked names, artwork, and logos. All of which were used in the PSPZelda release. ;)
