cygwin install on dial-up?

This is a discussion on cygwin install on dial-up? within the PSP Development Forum forums, part of the PSP Development, Hacks, and Homebrew category; how long will it take with a 56k modem to completly download and install cygwin using dial up? anyone here ...

Default cygwin install on dial-up?

how long will it take with a 56k modem to completly download and install cygwin using dial up?

anyone here try it before?

my speed is usually 24kbps with download usually at 2.0kb,,

will this be an overnight thing, or like 2 days, or an hour or so?

dont even try it, it would be faster just to download one of the smaller linux distros.

ubantus massive, even damn small linux is 50mb, go for the standerd commant prompt version.

reason i said ubunto is because i ordered their cd a while ago,,
still havent got it yet,,
and i dled damn small linux at school to install at home,, not a good idea,,

are the command prompts workable to code in c

It took a a month for me to get 5 CDs of Ubuntu... but I'm living in New Zealand.

it took me 3 weeks to get 2 cds from ubuntu, and 1 of them was the wrong one lol.
