Default Best Programming Language To Learn?

I love homebrew and would like to contribute! So I was thinking which programming language is the best to learn for making PSP homebrew, and possibly real programs?

c++ is the best language, but it takes a year or so to learn enough to make something decent. Lua is another language that can be learned in a month, but isnt as flexible and runs in an interpreter.

LUA FTW!

Only if you're starting out though. then if you want to create some sort of great app learn C/C++. LUA is a great quick and fast language to learn.

The best language? There really is none. It all depends on what you wanna program.

But I'm assuming your wanting to make games and apps, right? In that case the best best language there is c/c++. But that can take a while for most newbs, since they don't know the basics of programming. In that case, your gonna wanna learn some php or lua just to familirize yourself with programming. Then your gonna wanna go on to learn c/c++ and party with teh big boys.

ok to put it plain and simple, if you only plan to program for the psp and nothing else then learn lua. If you plan on trying to make programming a part of your future then learn c++ (and lua if you want to)
