Haven't looked at it yet but i have to say: GOOD F'ING JOB!!! (lol)
One question: Mind if i convert the lua netlib to a c\c++ netlib to be used in c\c++ apps with the help of my lua wifi c\c++ lib (if i can get it to f'ing compile)?

[EDIT]
Just took a look at it and im thinking bout using the old version of netlib and convert the lua code to c\c++ code. Although i may reconfigure the lua c\c++ api code of netlib to be used with my wifi lib.

Well, I was gonna do that, but decided not to. If its in C, there would be more users, and would cause mayhem on the default server. However, if you want, you can host your own netlib server and make a library for that.

That was the problem for me finding someone to host it. I dont have a spare server to host netlib. But I think you'll think of something

Only way your gunna host an exe is with some sort of windows server. You either leave your computer on, or find someone to host it.

Default Down time

As of Monday, July 3rd - 11:05 A.M. EST , netlib 2.0 will be down for approximately 5-10 hours for server maintenance. Sorry for the inconvenience, and next time, i will try to schedule the downtimes during off-peak hours. Thanks for the cooperation from youresam and the rest of the netlib users.

For any who don't know - I host the netlib2.0 server

Please note: Server will be down every so often due to rain storms causing power failures in the area. These should only be temporary and last no longer than 10 mins at the maximum.

Im sick of how so many people have released useless apps, and now lua is rendered as a language for n00bs.

EDIT: Wow, strelzj, your post made the front page. They must be desperate...

I took the liberty of adding netlib functions and UDP functions to the psDevWiki. Check it out here:

It's a pain in the ass, you don't want to know...

-But if you must, Go into the source for netlib as opposed to LuaPlayer
-Navigate to /bin/Debug/ and run Netlib 2.0.exe
-Set your computer up with a static IP.
-Right before you call netconnect, set netlib_server to your computer's internal IP (for internal testing) or your external IP after forwarding the port 3388 by UDP
-Use netlib normally.

The server is UP. However, its acting weird. The hoster of it put it on a wireless network. However, it disconnects from the network for some reason after like 5 minutes of no activity. I found another host, I hope for it to be up in a week.

Great then i can finally test if i got it right (my netlib code that is).

One question, I used older code of mine, but i seem to forgot what this little part has to be. The thing is, first i connect with my infra connection with "Wlan.useConnectionConfig ()", but then i have to have to open a socket and connect to a host.
That's the thing im unsure of, should i connect to the server or something else, so like this:
socket, error = Socket.connect("home.stre lzsoft.com", 3388) ?

If i do it like this then my code doesn't work. It doesn't seem to connect at all.

P.S. Im confused because i have two different addresses with netlib1.0. With this command and with the netget() and netsend() command's

Altair: I said its UP, but not working.
And for netlib, you gotta do this:
Wlan.init()
Wlan.useCOnnectionConfig( number)
netconnect()

the netconnect() connects you to the netlib server automatically.
