Strut your stuff in PSP-Programming's Contest

For a couple of months, PSP-Programming has been setting up another homebrew contest, probably before PSPU, for beginning homebrew developers like you.This is the perfect opportunity for experienced developers to showcase their skills and a great way for all of you aspiring coders to jump into the scene.

So let's see your stuff!

You can view the contest details on the Homebrew Contest Page.

Submit your own homebrew application. There's no theme, be creative. Can be submitted as an EBOOT or a Lua Application. PSP-Formatted Flash games will also be accepted.
Restrictions:

• - Must be original (no using commercial sprites, trademarks, etc.)
• - Must be the first release
• - Must be Open Source

Prizes:
Grand Prize

• - One (1) Year of Free UMDs from Silver Platter
• - One (1) set of Logitech PlayGearAmp Speakers

Runner Up

• - Five (5) Free UMDs from Silver Platter
• - One (1) Logitech PlayGear PSP Case

Second Runner Up

• - Three (3) Free UMDs from Silver Platter

The entries will be narrowed down by the PSP-Programming.com staff to 10 finalists. Judging is based on overall complexity, originality, and fun-factor. The community will then be allowed to vote on the 3 winners. All entries will be posted on the site for visitors to download.

I dont think you can enter with the same game twice. Unless you enter with your game in this one first and, since it ends earlier then the one at pspupdates, after it ends you enter with it here. I dont know. Nathan42100?

Which means you'll need to submit separate games to each.

How about this, the first PUBLIC release. That way you can enter it in both until judging. There is no way we can tell if you entered it in ours and theirs, and they can't tell it either...

The grand prize is overbearing by the way. They should limit it to 10 UMDs. I year of free UMDs, thats kinda much, dont you think?

On the contest page it says "Submit your own homebrew application.", but then you are judging on Fun-Factor lol.

My App is for use with games (and apps), homebrew and umd, and it should be fairly cool and useful

I thinks we should be able to submit the same game in both contests. How can they possibly expect us to create two GOOD games in so little time. The one I'm working on for the PSPU contest is probably going to take me right up until the last hour to complete. I also think it's pretty stupid that there are three hombrew contests going on at the same time.

We won't know if you submit it to both, but keep in mind that since our contest ends first, they will know that you entered in ours by the time they reveal their winners.

You'll need to send in the .fla

And that's fine, but you'll have to deal with how to split up the prize if you win.
