Np. :-)
someone said there should be a password prompt at the startup of the psp.
i think thats kinda crap, cause everytime you boot your psp youll get to type in a password.
my idea is, to press a specific button combination on startup, if the combination is right, the psp will boot, otherwise itll go to a screen where it says "Access Denied" and you cant do anything but shutdown the PSP.
yeah that sounds sweetZitat:

Harleyg, i'm still waiting on your answer about my idea... :(
what was your idea?Zitat:
Zitat von gh3
Sorry... i am busy...
hmmmm. two different firmwares being able to be launched? Sounds like a free U.P. :Jump:
phew finally got it to work i had to use the unflasher, i thort i had updated my psp cos i had ur config file making the devboot.pbp autoboot to 2.71. maybe if it were possible to overwrite the vsh in the future iot would be easier. i like that button combo idea :humped:
sorry if this has been answer a shed load of times, but once this is on, ie the Custom Firmware, do i have to leave customfirmware and customfirmware% on my psp? im gussing i do, but just want to check.
no you dontZitat:
Zitat von chaoskingz
No, you dont.
awesome mod,
i hexxed your devboot.pbp to use a cfdhook.ini instead of the original devhook.ini, this way cfdhook is setup with fake.iso & the settings I want to boot into the 2.71 dash with, and I have the regular devhook.ini which devhook uses for when i go through devhook's menu.

Ahhhhh. I cant get it to launch anything but 2.71. Im not holding L down. If I do it still goes to 2.71. Any help?
try launching recovery mode, go into USB Mode and edit your config.txtZitat:
Zitat von jakl_53
or simply take your Memory Stick out
And how do you get into recovery mode again? Im too lazy to go searching for it....Zitat:
Zitat von Piny
Wait....its R. Sorry but what do I do? :Argh:
just go into usb mode in 2.71 and edit the config
You probably have devhook set to Autoboot as well as Boot if L is held down, just go into recovery mode and change the config file.Zitat:

N.B: Thanks for answering my Question Harleyg and SupremeX
Can you upp your hexed ini? xstaci?
Yeah i do..Oops. What do i put to stop it from auto staring.Zitat:
Zitat von chaoskingz
This is what i have...
# Hold left trigger to boot into last used firmware on devhook
autoboot = "ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/DEVBOOT.PBP";
Do i just put the comment # thing in from of autoboot?
Well i did the comment thing and now it wont load 2.71.
can you post your complete config.txt file ?

if u want it to load ur last firmware that u used on devhook when u hold down L while u turn on ur psp put:
autoboot = "ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/DEVBOOT.PBP
if u dont want it to load ur last firmware used in devhook when u hold down L while turning on ur psp put:
#autoboot = "ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/DEVBOOT.PBP
Ive tried both. And either way, it loads one fw or the other.Zitat:

Do you have a full readme of what it does? Something more then "don't brick?"
Also, do you have a full functions list?
Dont know what happend to it but i read it.Zitat:

I think the most easy way is to unflash it and flash it again
Give me a bit and ill try it.Zitat:

I like the sound of that.Zitat:

I`ve edited the devboot.pbp to point to the other ini file and I`ve downloaded XMBBOOT.iso to use as my fake iso.
But when I run it and devhook starts up in 2.71 dash it says game could not be started (or something similar). Am I using the right iso for this and if not could you give a link to the right one.
Cheers.
and it doesnt unflash anything. my screen just goes black then goes back to the XMB
try rebooting holding L and R it will get into recovery mode
Okay that finally worked thanks for that.Zitat:

PSP Custom firmware patch v0.2
by harleyg
How to:
>>For new users
Copy the customfirmware and customfirmware% to PSP/GAME and the SYSTEM directory to PSP.
Launch the "Harleygs custom firmware patch 0.2" eboot and press X when prompted.
Reboot.
>>For current users
Copy the vshmain.prx and recovery.elf to the root of the memorystick, then boot the PSP
in configuration and recovery mode.
Go to the recovery/backup menu and flash the new recovery.elf and vshmain.prx.
Reboot.
Whats new:
>> Booting with "HOLD" on goes into configuration and recovery mode.
>> Booting with wlan switch down goes into devhook.
>> Booting with wlan switch up goes into XMB.
>> Booting while holding X will launch the autoboot eboot set in config.txt.
>> Boot manager inside the configuration and recovery mode can return to XMB and devhook.
>> A few more bug fixes.
Todo:
>> Add all configuration inside the configuration and recovery mode .
(nokxploit/nocorrupt/nointro on/off)
>> Extend the boot manager to launch 2.00+ UMD's.
>> Add key combo's inside config.txt.
>> Add more autoboot key combos and selections.
>> Auto load 2.00+ eboot via devhook.
