I´m noob at this, if anyone care to answer me because this thread has grown so much in such little time that it´s impossible to read all of it:
- is there any possibility (this is not specificaly related with this Custom firmware mod) to include in PSP internal firmware (as we do with this custom) any program as for example PSPlayer MT or even Devhook with 2.71? Basically what I´m asking is if there is space / way to "save" on the internal flash memory (not MSDUO) some programs we use more frequently (this way we could run whatever we wanted without having to copy the same frequent stuff to all our MSDUO... I have 2x 2Gb + 512Mb Digital Camera + ...)
- are buttons customizable yet?
- if I have a configuration in MSDUO (A) with everything and then I change to MSDUO (B) from my mobile that doesn´t have any program at all and I reboot or something like that, what happens if it´s ON the devhook or any kind of autoboot stuff? It returns an error, bricks, doesn´t work...?
Is it possible to post some answers/resume in the 1st Post (as Chaos Zero Devhook forum in psp-hacks) for people not to have to read all these 63 (until now) pages of posts? Thanks
it used to go directelly to the 2.71 XBM, now i used that little snippet now it goes to the dev hook menu. thats fine by me. well i think im good for now. if i want 1.5 ill just take the MS out. Thanks everyone that helped me get it going.
How do you enter recovery mode with the new version of the custom f/w.
Boot up your psp, then put your PSP in hold.
But i dont need a file called recovery.elf to do this, i just tried it without that file and it unlfashed it?Zitat:

Hello everyone. I was interested in trying this, but I want to make sure of something. I watched my friend brick his PSP doing something else recently, so I think it has made me less headstrong when it comes to flashing my firmware. Anyway, on to my question...
Currently I have 1.5 firmware that has been modified using PSPset and X-Flash for a custom font, opening sound, gameboot, and backgrounds. I just wanted to know... If I use this custom firmware, do I need to first install a clean copy of 1.5? Also, once I have it installed is it safe to use X-Flash and PSPset to re-modify my font, gameboot, etc.?
If anyone could answer this I would really appreciate it.

It doesnt matter if you modified using gameboots, etc. it will flash well. And it is even SAFER to flash you psp with X-FLASH, etc. because of the recovery module.Zitat:

I'm not a big fan of Harley Q mod for several reasons, one is that it doesn't work properly, lacks some features, and 2 is that it is mostly a repackage Lordstrums mod, used without giving credit or being given permission. I can tell that he was indeed pissed about this, and I would be too, it is sad to see the pspscene running over good developers, just because a thief has a better looking thread.... that makes it to the front page. :down:

I only changed the flasher to say Harleyg's custom firmware as i think ive modified it enough to call it a new version.

well, its like talking about fanjita inventing the eloader but it is a fact that someone else discovered the exploit (and i dont mean ditlev *g*).
just that hg only modded existing sources to improove them.
in fact it all doesnt really matter. the result counts.
Umm...all harleyg took was the devhook mod, its actually pretty easy to make controls do something, believe me, I know NO C WHATSOEVER, and by looking at Dark_Alex source, i could have modified it myself. Except im too lazy! :pZitat:
