I need devhook 0.44 source for UMD loading... ill work on configuration file now.
would it be possible to start a small external filemanager-elf from within the recovery?
this way we could easily use a existing one for this work (though it must not be a full-blown one, as those tend to use too many prx'es and thus being useless in the case of a semi-brick). maybe even some other developer takes the task to develop that extremely small profile filemanager (the goal must be to use as few prx'es as possible).
another useful utility could be a system-check program which checks some brick reasons. that could also be a external program.
but as said by master inuyasha, start small!
maybe it would be a good idea to make it full-customizable first. with plugins for the recovery module being developed by others.
(btw, the crystal chip uses a bootmanager reading a directory on the memorycard to create a menu of applications/homebrews for the user to select. maybe a idea to look into later on).
btw:
the devhook multiboot on keypresses would not be needed if someone could modify devhook to let us start the xmb without autostart of the umd and then no only change between isos by home+L, but also to umd... and of course a fast return to 1.5...

Yeah, that would be great! And thanks for all you are doing too...Also, in the config, if we can choose what starts up, because right now I am using Lord Sturms POC, because i like his button config. So if you can add custmized button config that would be awesome. Things I like about Lord Sturm:Zitat:

In his mod, he makes a back up back up, meaning, he makes a backup of vshmain_real.prx. If you can add those to your POC, that would be awesome....But I am using your Recovery.elf, as its the best around!
