anyone
Nice work HarleyG. I prefered the old way of booting into devhook by using the L button though. Perhaps in the next version you could make an option under recovery mode or in the config file that would let you choose how to load devhook. Either button press or wlan switch.
nice work i love it ! :Punk:
It is just an extra module that a developer made. The custom firmware is designed to allow up to ten modules to be loaded, allowing for extra feature besides the one that the custom firmware has. If you want those features, then install it.Zitat:

@andy14769: For the installation? Make sure you have both the "customfirmware" and "customfirmware%" on your PSP. You should be able to click on the "customfirmware%" while the other appears corrupt.
@djzander: Went to answer your question and saw that you figured it out. Have fun.
Made it so you could load up the important modules and not have to worry about loading up the fun ones :)Zitat:

Though harleyg does need to update his file to include the new version...
Great mod, I have a problem though
When I hold L trigger it doesnt load 2.71, I have devhook installed properly and it loads when the WLAN switch is down, but i would just lke to use L trigger instead of using a switch.
# Hold left trigger to boot into last used firmware on devhook
devhook = "ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/DEVBOOT.PBP";
I didnt change that line, and the pbp is in that folder.
Sorry, he forgot to update that file. That comment is now incorrect. The L button does not do anything anymore. Sorry.
if i wanted to disable a feature, such as "skiplogo = true;" would i put "skiplogo = false;" or comment the line like thi? "#skiplogo = true;"
Just put "skiplogo = false;". If you use the other one, I don't know what would happen. Your PSP would probably blow up.
I'm sorry, but that made me litterally laugh out loud. :ROFL:Zitat:

GOOD! Im usually good at doing Flashing, like XFLash, but this does sum serious stuff and i want to know if i should do it or not! also, what about the bricking withPRXs? this wouldnt be able to recvoer it. he should try and get it when the PSP starts up it loads THIS first before PSP stuff so if PRX's are missing, u would still be ok. I kno if u did that there would stillhaveto be a few PRXs still there. idk if it is that easyornot, but just wondering!Zitat:

He said should be Wedsday, so, thats not far at all :)
But you won't be screwing up any .prxs unless you pull the plug while upgrading. The only thing you might brick on would be things like gameboots and fonts. THOSE are the things that this will be able to recover from.Zitat:
Zitat von linkinpark9812
True..... as long it can recover stuff like that. The onlyt hing that coud screw up PRXs like u said would be Updates and the 'Downgrader" brick. I wasnt thinkin i guess. I satyed up till 6 AM last night and woke up at 11AM so im not paying attention alot! :pZitat:
Zitat von cooldocy795
That's ok. Just wanted to clear that up with a bunch of people.
Front Page News For Version .2 :)
Yep. I submitted it almost 3 and a half hours ago. They pu out two other stories before this.Zitat:
Zitat von Keegster
Yeah, I liked the original L for devboot and R for recovery. A configuration option would be ideal so I hope it will be added soon.Zitat:

LOL, Thats Pretty Funny
So this is completly safe to use? I'm on a 1.5 and I really don't feel like bricking.

Dude, if you dont take out your battery, it WONT brick :)
You are free and clear. I've done it a ton of times already. Go for it.Zitat:

None of this dual boot crap is working for me. Mine always boots into PSPVBA with this config. Now I have it set to IR Shell and it always boots into IR Shell. WTF?
can you replace the recover.elf and the vshmain.prx witht he ones on the other version?
