Red face *UPDATED* Harleyg's custom firmware patch (0.2)
All work on harleyg's custom firmware has been stopped due to the development on 0x89




Harleyg's custom firmware patch

Current version: 0.2

It currently contains:
Configuration and recovery mode
  • New style and menu/sub menus
  • Clockspeed configuration
  • USB mode
  • Update vshmain.prx and recovery.elf
  • Remove patch
  • Launch update eboot
  • Replace index.dat
Other
  • No kxploit
  • No corrupt icons
  • No intro
Controls (while booting):
  • WLAN switch down: Loads devhook
  • WLAN switch up: Loads XMB
  • HOLD on: Loads configuration and recovery mode
  • X: Launches autoboot eboot
Have fun! Dont brick! (If you do, aint my fault, ive tested this so many times... not even in devhook!)

Brilliant exactly what I wanted. Devhook to be with L trigger rather than 1.50 being activated with L and also the ability to change clock speed sounds great!

I love your recovery.elf! Im wondering, that pspclock, is it permanent? Or only for the boot? And does it need the .prx? Also, I tested this, works great! Plus it allows for you to add more custom firmware without deinstalling the mod, just go to backup, install vshmain.prx! Its awesome! Loving it harleyg! Im wondering, for the flash vshmain.prx, can that be used for installing another firmware mod?

Yes, it sure can! However, it will remove my one...
I think keeping that recovery.elf is best though as you can install another mod quickly.

Next release you will be able to add auto loaded prx's and turn nokxploit/intro/corrupt icons on and off all via recovery!

Cannot wait! Im loving it, expecially how i dont have to press some random buttons to activate things, now its nice and orderly!

Yup... you can change the autoboot to ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/DEVBOOT.PBP to have the left trigger = devhook...
You can change it to anything really, and hold left trigger to boot it.

Yes but you add the prx's to the config file. Don't forget the devhook file too. How do you change the cpu speed ? The recovery menu ? And what is the AIOMod.prx ?

harleyg, i have the AIOMod.prx, right, and if i change the cpu speed to 222 via recovery, will that overright the AIOMod.prx auto 333? Also, would it stay 222 forever until i change it again? If recovery mode can set what speed, it should save it to the config file or something, so it remembers it!

AIOmod is another mod (by someone else) that keeps usb mode on in the XMB, and the note button takes a screenshot.
Oh, and yes, cpu speed is in the recovery menu.

I agree - Having to press L to use the NORMAL firmware was annoying - but now I can use the prx mods on 1.50 AND 2.71
