Default Homebrew iso's on devhook???

Would this work...

You know how a version of luaplayer was created so it would run as an iso....would it be possible to make a game in .iso like luaplayer then emulate sumat like 2.70 firmware with devhook and emulate a piece of homebrew without having to couple harleyg's custom firmware mod with the 2.7x updates

(if this ends up on the front page ever remember my name lol)

oh and anyone willing to try here's the link to the luaplayer.iso

It's possible, but I don't know if it'd work.

there's no reason why it shouldnt right....all we need is someone to test!

"The game could not be started (80020148)"

80020148 = PRX type unsupported

Oh well.

well there's always a way right...

if luaplayer has been converted to .iso format there must be a way to get it to load....

would it be possible if booster implemented it to run homebrew files that have been converted to .iso format?

Whats the point though? It's not like you can burn the isos to a UMD and what can an iso of homebrew do that just a normal zip archive can't?

it gives you the ability to use homebrew on emulated 2.xx with devhook without one of those custom firmwares or coupling firmwares

I think that Luaplayer ISO will only work with direct ISO loading, so like with Fastloader or DAX ISO.

There is an option in Devhook for a direct ISO load, Try that.

well, if it works then we can make homebrews into iso format and then compress with ciso or daxter compress to make it smaller. Although, I hear that making a UMD will double the size of the iso so there would be no point compressing it. Maybe there might be a way not to have the umd double in size?

Try this in Devhook, Just put it in ms0:/ISO/.

This is Lua player. The FW you are emulating needs to be at least 2.60.

Its not that easy to run homebrew in 2.71 emulated. You need to rebuild as a prx and crap like that.

On topic tho...I think that the emulated 2.71 can run elfs.

"Support for loading EBOOT.PBP on memory stick and EBOOT.BIN on UMD(ISO) in ELF format." - From the QJ article on .45

So maby if the eboot or what ever in the iso is in elf format it could be ran.
