Arrow [RELEASE] Fontloader

A simple interface for utilising the freetype2 library



Version 0.1

Samstag has posted an excellent guide at Release: FLIB Truetype font library in C

Samstag is also the author of 'flib' which is another library for freetype2 development
... and the reason I created Fontloader

-= Samples =-

In the 'Samples' directory within this archive there is example code on how to integrate
Fontloader.

Currently there is only an example using Psilocybeing's graphic library, but I intend to
create examples for GU and possibly even PSPGL.

The sample and the fontloader.h are well commented so implementation should be simple.

Feh. I'm trying to shy away from using the graphics lib so I'm trying to put it off... but seeing as I've already posted the first 2 parts out of 3 I might have to finish it up.

No. My code is nothing like that of flib's - it just does a similar job

cool i just tried it

i going to use this in my gui mod.

no more funny shadow bug in urs.

It's the font from Ren & Stimpy! (It's included in the download)

I also spot it in several childrens TV programmes here in the UK, 'My Parents are Aliens' uses it for the credits and some farm cartoon that's on Five on a morning uses it too (can't remember the name of it or if it's even on Five...)

Slowly. If I could stick to just coding it instead of going off on a tangent everytime I get a new idea I'd be nearing a final version now

With regard to Fontloader or AniMate?

For Fontloader this is the first release, albeit a pretty complete one. I'll just be fixing any bugs, and implementing support for GU/GL (and possibly a rotation function too - plus a few other ideas I'm toying with).

For AniMate it will be as basic a release as an 'alpha' could be, ie. playable (3 out of 9 minigames completed), some advanced systems and AI missing etc. not as polished as it could be. There's lots of things I want to rewrite within it.

Unfortunately I have lots of ideas and nowhere near enough time
