Exclamation -XxPsPmadxX & Mooser Custom Firmware Patch v0.25b-

this release brings a New Recovery Mode with GUI that is fully
Customizable . You can edit the GUI your self and give it the
look you want.

This Version Of Recovery Mode Was Fullly Scripted
By PsPmad & Mooser..

You guys might be thinking Mooser has lot of bad Rep at QJ but
i see potential in Him he helped me out on the Menu and i Coded
the Flash Writing Part i also made it so it checks for the file
first befor any action. So if you dont have for EX. index.dat in
your main root it will say (Cannot Copy File ("File Missing?")
so the flashing part wont write Empty Files and Brick your PSP.
But there is always a Posibilities of yur PSP Bricking When Flashing.

If you want to MOD the Recovery Mode GUI images r located at

ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/CFPSP/RECOVER_CUST

*Also when editing the GUI files PLease dont Miss any files it will
Give a Error and you will have to do a Hard reset*

*Also dont delet any files in this DIR*

ms0:/PSP/SYSTEM/CFPSP/MODULES

Please Use at your own Will. Dont Brick!!

So all mooser did was create menus that will probably be replaced by better ones like...

The Ex's? Looks good but the colors seem to clash a little <3

The first font in the "The Ex's" version dosnt contrast with its "glow/shaddow" so yer get that fixed... :P

Anyway, its against my "Moral" to have recovery skinned, and dependant on images on the memorystick.

But please notice, PSPMad has agreed to help work on intergrating a large portion of his CustomFW into CASUAL CustFW, as a "Custom Style!"

So now you can use any custom configuration in Casual!!! :P

( Well you will be able to soon... )

Im not saying this because your not using my recovery, but...
Why add images too it? The more you add to it, the more chance it has of failing.

And i see mooser helped, i recommend using the last version to anyone

I used to go on alot of forums so I can format my posts very quickly. Takes a little over half a second for me to add color and bold. I don't really think about it .-.

Glad to see you keep evolving this, BUT this version of recovery brings some concernings to my mind:
You mean that if the img files are missing recovery will faill?
What if the ms got corrupted?
Couldn't it use a simple conditional to check if the files are present or not and if not use a simple printf() based UI??

Another concerning:
I don't think you should leave the Remove Mod flasher app (is that the undo eboot, right?) on the ms (that's what I don't like about LordSturm's Mod). It should go to the flash. Again what if the ms got corrupted?

Staying with 0.2 for now..

KeepirUp!

Double Post Merge

Yerr.. Did anyone tryed to flash the FW for use with the new DevHook with this Mod installed?
If any one had this experience, please share the results.. ThanX!

I have more than one memory sticks. If the one with the Mod files got corrupted all I had to do was put da Update eboot in the right place on the second ms and fire it up. The way it is now I would need to properly place all the img files in the right place plus the undo eboot et all.

And I would like to be able to remove the Mod without any ms inserted at all! And that isn't possible with this new recovery elf.

Recovery should be for recovery not for fun (I'm with LordSturm on this (just don't understand why he(LS) left the remove mod app in the ms as well)).

Which is just as easy as having to replace an eboot on the second MS.

OK. More chances of failling but OK.
But leaving the Remove Mod app on the ms doesn't seems the best option. On the other hand the less room this files occupies in flash the better (more room to flash fw2.71 for DH).
Well, maybe my concernings dont have a base. I just switch from ms all the time and don't want to mirror those files..

Thank you Urza for sharing your thoughts.
