im working on an intro screen for my current project.
since lua doesnt support video formats nor animated gif images, i decided to take a series of still shots(jpg's) and blit them in a sequence to give the effect of a 'video'.
when i use the lua player for windows, everything loads up fine. but with my psp lua player the game freezes during the loading of the images.
of course if it works in windows, its not a sure thing to work on the psp, due to performance differences in the two. my idea was to sort out the loading through out the video to reduce the strain. example: load the first 5 frames and while those are being shown on the screen...load the next 5...and so on.Code:i currently have 46 images being loaded images = 609kbs total and a wav file 1.83mb
but its late and im gonna head to bed so i can think more clear. while doing so, im gonna ask if anyone knows a more sure-fire way. =)
