[release] Petals Around The Rose

Petals around the rose is a puzzle, You roll 5 normal dices (Any other amount of dices would also work) and get the question, How many petals are there around the rose?

There is always one correct answer to this question and the answer depends on what the dices show. To find the solution you only need some simple math knowledge and a creaive mind. It's said that the smarter you are the longer time you will use to solve this puzzle.
I first played this game here and I used about 2 weeks before I understood how to solve it.

To Quote what the site I played it on said about the game:

I was introduced to "Petals Around the Rose" by Dr. Richard Duke at the University of Michigan . Dr. Duke used to begin each of his gaming/simulation courses with this exercise. While some students would solve the problem right away, others would struggle all semester. It had taken Dr. Duke well over a year himself, and he would always explain that the smarter you were, the longer it took to figure it out.

The game is quite simple. Only a basic understanding of math is required and an open and creative mind. The game can be used as an example of how different people look at the world differently, and how these different ways of looking can yield different answers. In "Petals Around the Rose" there is always one correct answer. The problem is how we define the problem.

I created this Version in C++ (GU) just to practise on coding in GU.

It starts of by rolling the dices (which is very poorly made in my version). and then you use up and down to select how many petals you think there are around the rose.

It takes time to understand it, it's a specific pattern that decide what the answer is. just try and think creative and think about the question, how many petals are there around the rose.

Just tried the flash version, managed to figure it out (is that a bad thing?) but a very interesting puzzle. :)

wow i could so ruin it for others but i won't gonna drive my fianceee nuts with it, and help her believe shes smart lol. I got it first try ><, I feel dumb... I don't get how it says the longer it takes the smarter you are. I would think it would be the other way since you use logic.

I think that's becouse very smart people might think to complicated when trying to solve it.. But I doubt that it's true.. if it was almost evryone here would be stupid. :P

Wow, weird to see this on the PSP. My statistics teacher pulled this on my class last year, it was evil, evil I say. And then when I figured out the solution, I was like, that's... so... un...fair :Argh: it was too simple and I was thinking too logical

Meh, I looked it up on wikipedia. It was bothering me too much. But goddamn it is so friggin simple...I hate when I think too logical and it is so SIMPLE! :Argh:

I solved this on my own (due to the fact i couldn't find a solution, and it's easy as pie)
