He said more than 333..

Soulphalanx unfortunately is very correct.

If you are interested in overclocking though there is good thread to take real answers for your questions and monitor the proggress if there will be any.. 366 mhz?

Yes, was just about to post that link. The question is thoroughly answered in that topic and when either of us (zshadow or myself) have time we'll patch the modules to allow overclocking.

why would you wanna overclock the PSP? You will only fry the internals!! And no, 333mhz is NOT overclocking. It was the original spec but as we all know, due to the battery sony clocked it down to 222.
slightly offtopic, is it true GT4 will be clocked to 333Mhz automatically?

If you read the thread i mentioned earlier you will find lots of uses in overclocking a psp. And no it wont fry anything if its used wisely

I heard that too, people say that GT4 will be the first game using 333mhz.
I don't know though if its true or just hearsay..

It would probably get fried, or very hot. Just think about the small space there is inside a PSP. The warm air probably wouldn't be able to get out.

Again as i said if its used wisely nothing will get burned or damaged.
Talking about wisely i dont mean play socom online at 366mhz. It could used to speed up the boot on some applications for example.

My project though of installing a copper heatpipe cooling system on the psp is almost finished, there are 2 heatpipes coming out from left and right and when its overheating i will just blow on the one till the temp goes down..
(yes of course i am joking)

Your pants would just drop.

Apart from that, the PSP would set that clock to the maximum allowed (ie 333) and go on normally.
