Default [WIP] Deathwish: Bloodthirst - An RPG for PSP


Deathwish: Bloodthirst (tentative title) is a game with a complete storyline, an unique battle system, and more.

Updates:
Update 10/12/06 - Deathwish: Bloodthirst has now been moved from Dark Reaper Studios to Yellow Snow Productions.

Story:
I will release information about the story as the game is almost finished.

FAQ:

Q1. Is this fake?
A1: Absolutely not! We are working as hard as we can.

Q2: You mentioned something about save points. Will there be save points in the game?
A2: No. You will be able to save the game with just a press of a button.

Q3: Will the characters be classic RPG style (meaning will they be small like normal RPGs?)?
A3: Yes.

Q4: How do I apply for a job?
A4: Please PM me (Appleseed629). Thank you.

Q5: By tentative title, do you mean that this title is temporary?
A5: It might. I have very many titles to choose from, and it might change.

Q6: On which firmwares will this game be playable on?
A6: 1.0 & 1.5. 2.0+ versions will come later.

Q7: Are the artwork good?
A7: They are drawn by me, and no, they suck more than stick figures. (If you disagree for some reason, please post why you disagree so I can change this answer.

Q8: What rating will it be?
A8: We'll work to make it so that teens can play it.

Q9: Will there be an online feature?
A9: No, sorry, only Ad-Hoc.

There is progress going through the game, and screenshots will be added soon.

Yeah. Look at Valkyrie Profile: Lenneth. The save points are a little far apart. So we've decided that save points go into the trash. Oh, and did you know, save points are just a scheme for you to play the game more? Home consoles don't have the ability to sleep like the PSP, so they made that feature. So, yeah, they made it so that if you're on a hard level, you can't stay away from the frickin' TV screen. Ugh. You'll be able to save in the Pause menu.

It looks like I am in need for a person who will gladly advertise this game in their site/forums and a person who can draw more better than me. So yes, you need to be able to paint it well, and be able to make a better drawing from sketches. PM me if you want to take any job or want more info.

dude, no offense but i hardly doubt lua can handle an entire RPG.. unless you are teh r0xx0r$ at optimizing code, and the only person i know who can do that is head_54us. if you want to wirte in lua, i could TRY to convert it slowly to C, but its ur choice. good luck!!!

P.S. SG57 will come in this thread in about 5 minutes and say that this will never be completed. dont be discouraged.

Yeah, I know... that's what I'm worrying about. I'll ask you to convert it to C when I'm done with the game.

And yeah, I know SG57 will come here. I'm ready for him. I'm never discouraged from him now. He's just another worthless pawn...

I've seen SG57 get banned millions of times. Oh, well. That's what he gets fro discouraging the homebrew society. He's a menace.

Also, thanks for the support, guys. mark.sparky isn't answering my PMs and wbaran isn't there to answer my IMs... so I'll need a lot of help. So, anyone willing to advertise the game and/or help with artwork?

EDIT: I'm also noting that by helping with the game, you can be a Dark Reaper Studios member automatically. On the spot.

that doesnt make sense, if they dont have a sleep feature and you cant pause it for a long time why do they want people sitting in front of their tvs all day?

I'll advertise on my site and forum but I'm not really quite sure what the game is about and I kinda need to see more characters or scenes to be able to make ads..can you possibly give me a screenie or two?

Depends on how ginormous the game is, but as long as you print things to the screen as they appear on the screen, Lua will handle it fairly easily.

Okay, updates, updates! Yes, this thread hasn't been updated in a very long time. That's why I'm updating it.

Deathwish: Bloodthirst has transferred from Dark Reaper Studios to Yellow Snow Productions. To join Yellow Snow and be involved with the game, please check the job availability section of this thread in the first page.

Also, screens may not be posted up until 2007, since the game was put on hold for a while. The game will now be in C, not Lua, with Homer leading the project. Please visit www.yellowsnow.gmdude66.net/forums to find out more. Official website will come soon.
