Not sure really what to write as this is my first time posting and first time submitting something so ill just right a bit about the thing.

PSP Corruption Fixer is a simple app for PSP users coded in VB6.
It allows the user to remove corrupted files such as images, game saves, html files and any other corrupt files on the PSP memory stick.
This app also detects the PSP drive so you don't have to set it yourself like uber0ne's plus this has an auto run feature which when you open you dont have to click fix everytime it will auto detect and fix for you

Please post feedback on it if you can...
can someone post to me how to get this on the front page of pspupdates or will someone just put it up there not sure how it works ;[ anyways thanks in advnance.

i attached my program as .zip instead of .rar for those who don't know how to open.

On the front page look for "Send us news tips" and give them info on it.

It Does work to my knowledge and hopefully will work with other people, sorry if it doesn't.
i know there is an corruption fixer with windows via cmd but im sure it would be easier to plug PSP into PC then open this rather than get the drive open cmd and type the command manually, also by others do you mean uber0nes or is there more? uber0nes does the same as mine but mine automatically finds the PSP but uber0nes doesn't plus mine has autorun feature and mine doesn't require .net framework 2. something...
if any one has tested do you care on saying if it worked thanks

Did you release the source to yours? If not I don't see how it could be a rip off. Also, his has features that yours doesn't.

I didn't really rip it because i never had your source ¬.¬ i just thought this would make a version where i didn't have to select my psp drive every time and update if i didn't have the right .net framework, its not like you really created it anyway you just used CHKDSK as did i which where made by Microsoft.
sorry if this for some reason makes you angry, just making life easier

Not sure if he released source it wouldn't really matter anyways as i write mine in vb6 and his is in .net
different code i believe

Sounds good to me. For some odd reason, I have to restart my computer to do a CHKDSK. This way, I won't have to. I hope.

There no need to get angry with anyone ;l mine is in vb6 btw so i couldn't have taken your source as .net isn't compatible with vb6 is it, so really i the only thing i could have ripped off you was the idea and since you took that form another program someone said its not really your idea.. thanks for everyones comments btw except uber0nes negative ones ;[

Yea i hear, does anyone have a link to it? dunno if my app offers anything more tho but i thought i would post it out for ones who didn't have it, or ones who where using uber0nes and didn't wanna select there drives ;P

I like the fact that it's not .net
I havent used it yet but as soon as I get those corrupted icons that force me to format I will give it a try.

.net most of is easy to change around to vb6 and you tell me who i ripped the idea from and i will surely apologize but im pretty sure there is no corruption fixer in the homebrew scene before mine. I just don't like it when someone uses the exact same idea that i came up with. So im going to go recompile DA's CFW and change the look of things a little bit. Lets see how many people agree with this.

Why do you care? stop whining. You're little program wasn't new or unique in any sense. No need to defend it.

You ever heard of sei tools? or upspear? I can keep going if you'd like.

There's a feature built in windows called error-checking as you will know all your's really is is a GUI and mine is another GUI but with more features, so technically we have Microsoft to thank for it. but if you want some acknowledgment for your GUI, all thank uber0ne for his original program.

hey if your gonna rip DA's CFW and edit the GUI maybe we could team up and make a GUI together

I haven't tried it yet (although it sounds great) but just my idea: you could suggest people to keep in on their card so they can access it quickly or on another computer that doesn't have it. Not sure if that would interfere with the process or not but it may be a nice touch.

uber0ne - Your's isn't as simple as this... Auto detecting corruption is in... Your manual deletion is so 1 year ago... And quit whining over a corruption fixing program, as your little minute of fame is up, as the new and improved corruption system is here (a tad exagerastion and saracasm...)

Sigh, if i were to choose one based on anything but quality, it would be [ Joes ] one as i don't like the attitude of uber0ne...

Absolutly nobody is stopping you from taking DaX's custom fw and making your own, its just polite to mabye give credit for finding the exploit.

And just a word of notice, your tool was made for the noobs who know very little about windows workings.

Simply enter the properties of the psp drive, and hit tools and diskcheck, and u have urself a lovely gui that does all of the above, and actually SHOWS the progress in a cute little bar...

What a convience? - That's for XP btw, im not exactly sure about 2000's mechanics etc.

Anyway, noones stopping you from improving your own diskchecker...

Infact ill throw out some ideas for you guys to compete with...

- Live check whether dskchk is actually required. ( Check volume of files. )
- Have it run automaticly when psp is inserted ( use autorun, checks first. )
- For JOE's version, allow optional drive selection, as sometimes people delete the inf files and it wont see it...
- A progress bar lol?

Now if someone made a corruption fixer that ran from the psp, that would be quite a feat, but as Joe said, ur currently making GUI's for a simple Windows functions that already has a damn GUI.

Either way, its a contribution, and thanks!
