I've decided to try and make a large(r) scale game. I have a plot written out (see below) and now I just need a few serious people who think they'd like to help out. The game is going to be a turn based stratagy game (Think Final Fantasy Tatics.)

Anyways, heres my plot, I think it sounds awesome. Please let me know if you'd want to help out with this.

Fallout -- Turn Based Post Apocalyptic Stratgy Game -- The Story

Its been 50 years since the 9/11. The world drasticlly changed from the horrors that arose on the 5th anaversiry of the attacks on the World Trade Centers. As the civil wars in the middle east escalated beyond control, the worlds worst fears came about. Another suicide bomber took control of a jet, and took it down at a base known to house some of the United States many nuecular arms. The explosion killed nearly a million innocent Americans, and spawned a war that changed the face of Earth its self. The United States quickly made sure that the regiems in the Middle East were silinced, and launched a handful of nuclular missles upon the major cities in the Middle Eastern countries. It was at that time that the secret allience between Iraq and Russia was discovered, and Iraq's development of quiet a morbid display of bombs. More powerful then anything made by the United States, or even thought of for that matter.
The United States quickly learned that they had made an aweful mistake, and The Nucelar War began. The war ended quickly, but the destruction was astronmical. In the
US, all signs of a goverment evaporated. The survivors wondered the streets, fighting to stay alive, to still be a survivor.

I wrote it in 10 minutes in Notepad, sorry about any spelling/grammar mistakes.

Not to burst your bubble, but setting off a nuclear explosion that way is a bit far-fetched.

I also don't know that I would use real countries, becuase some people may be offended. But hey, it's your virtual world, you can make it happen if you want. Good luck with this, these kinds of games a lot of work.

Hi,

I don't want to act like I wanna destroy your project, but there is three things.

First, good plan. You start by creating a global idea of your game, good first step in creating your game. Nothing negative here on the contrary. I applaud that.

Second, like LMelior said, Nuclear Bombing plot is a bit far-fetched. Although, if you come with good turn outs in the plot (maybe more in depth with it), could turn out quite good.

Third, "Fallout" as a title could be a problem considering your global plot. There is a game called fallout that uses also the nuclear kinda plot here. You should maybe review your title to avoid any trouble.

Any other than that, good luck with your project.

Since when is being to far-fetched bad? If H. G. Wells didn't think so far-fetched we'd never have The Time Machine, or War Of The Worlds (which results in Scary Movie 4, which it would be a terrible world had we not had Scary Movie 4.

I will change the name, Fallouts temporary just to give the game a face. Instead of saying 'hey hows your game' they can say 'hows fallout'. Just like The Wii was once the Revolution.

lol i love scary movie 4 and war of the worlds and i agree with you about the title you can change it later before it out

The difference is nobody in H.G. Wells' time could prove him wrong.

As it is now, no nuclear explosion will happen unless the one controlling the bomb itself wants it to happen. But I'm only trying to be antagonistic here, because it would be really boring if everybody posted that they loved the idea.

Well, that and I may or may not be working on a similar type of game.

No offense, but I'm not exactly sure you want people who are still newbies at Lua to help code a project this big.

Lua is not that tough, learning through making is the best way. I'm happy to help people who are new learn in a way that will keep them coming back, working on a big game.
