Default [UPDATED] Dark Alex SE-B Overclocking Module v2.1

Here is the final release, sources inclued. (be carefull when playing with this sort of sources)

"Overclocking" final module for Dark Alex Custom Firmware SE-B By Cpasjuste

This appz will flash a module named oc.prx in the 2.71 module directory "flash0:/kn/"
and update the file "pspbtcnf_game.txt" located in "flash0:/kn/" too.

This allow UMD or ISO games to be played at the full PSP speed (333MHZ), while the XMB and 1.50 homebrews
remain at the original speed (222MHZ).


To install the mod : Copy the directory named "oc" located in the RELEASE directory to your games folder
("ms0:/PSP/GAME" or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150"), launch the App as usual from the xmb then follow instructions.

To remove the mod : Copy the directory named "oc" located in the RELEASE directory to your games folder
("ms0:/PSP/GAME" or "ms0:/PSP/GAME150"), launch the App as usual from the xmb then follow instructions.
The flash of the psp will be like before you use this mod, so no worry about future dark alex update's.

Does it work with SE-B revision B? Or just the regular B? I'm not guinea pigging, this would be really useful because Every Extend Extra runs horribly.

Sorry i tought se-b was revision B.
Yes it was compiled and tested on SE-B revision B.
I will test it tomorow on revision B'.
Anyway since it only affect the "pspbtcnf_game.txt" file, if there was really a big change on this (im sure there is not), the psp will boot as usual and freez when launching a game. So just use the recovery option.

there are two versions. SE-B and SE-B'. the one with ' is the one I was asking about. lol

Some few precisions :
- XMB will remain at 222Mhz
- Compatible with SE-B and SE-B' (SEB2)
- All is automatic, no possibility to switch games back to 222mhz (exept if you remove seb with the recovery).

Yes and does online still work? In DevHook 333 sometimes messed with online.

SE-B' is the official name. It's what shows if you like in System Information in the XMB

I'll give it a go in a little bit. Hopefully it will get rid of the slowdown in E3. So there's no way to uninstall it once it is installed without doing recovery to 1.5 and then reinstalling SE-B?

Is socom working before u install the mod ?
If yes wait tomorow i will update the flasher to be able to remove the mod or if i have the time implement a method to switch the cpu speed on the fly.

For a quick fix, just edit the blahblah_game.txt file and remove this line:

$/kd/oc.prx

Then just reflash the entire thing. oc.prx will still be in your flash, but it won't be used.
